PC Version of GTA V Discussion

It is cirucmstancial evidence, but I would take this as an indication a PC version is more likely than not at some stage:

http://www.google.com/translate?hl=en&ie=U...ielt-1086599%2F

Why would a German PC Games magazine want to review a game if it is only coming out for consoles? Or R* bother taking it to them? The PC is a relatively more important plaftorm however in the German market where consoles are not as popular in the UK or US for example. It makes sense to drum up a bit of early interest there imo.

Because it's GTA 5?

Don't want to make you look stupid or anything..

But apart from their name, they actively pre/review Consoles, Gadgets and games from all platforms in addition to PC gaming.

With these new screenshots from hands-on previews maybe brian will now shut the f*ck up about screenshots being from the PC version.

You can't be stupid enough to think these screenshots are from their actual hands on session? that these captures were made while they were playing? LOL

Without speaking to these screenshots at all - I've spoken accurately and irrefutably (no one has been able to evidence the contrary, so I am right) to enough of them already - I can tell you pure and simple that if you think these captures are from their hands-on session, you're more dense than I thought.

And, when we all see the actual game on september 17th, you will know beyond the shadow of doubt that the screenshots I have personally spoken to, and carefully explained why already, are from a different version of the game than is released that day.

Oh for heaven's sake, the screenshots are from 360. PC will not be coming out any time soon if at all.

PC may not come "soon" as in a month or two, that's one.

If at all, of course it will come.

Stop feeding the trolls.

but would you admit you were wrong and talking rubbish the whole time if they ARE from the same version?

Same version? lol

But GTA V does currently have GTA IV’s texture pop-in issues, and graphically, it’s unimpressive. It looks like an enhanced version of Grand Theft Auto IV with an extra sheen added, but it also doesn’t stand up to its far more graphically-impressive contemporaries. It doesn’t look five-plus years newer than the game that came before it.

Lol, they were playing GTA Online with 128 GTADevs with MSAA and 100% Distance density and they took the screenshots while they were playing on consoles.

That's why you can see those lights from 10 miles.

Exactly Bobski - I can see with my own eyes that V on consoles is exactly like IV. I am not fooled by a more colorful location or fooling myself with "eh, it's just video compression" - I know better. Video compression has HELPED the look of GTA V (those who understand how nearest neighbor video compression works, know this is a fact)

I can see easily already that the game is on 2005's consoles.

The screenshots, however, those speak a different story - those speak the 5 years leap since IV - the gameplay videos do not. The gameplay videos are your "low to medium". The screenshots have things in them these console gamers aren't even aware exists, so we cannot expect them to even begin to understand, no matter how carefully it's explained, they will not understand until they play games with these features, until they see it explained - until developers are there saying "Here is what you get if you get the game on 360, and here is what you get if you get it on XB1" - then they will see the difference.

Only then will those in denial be able to look back and say "wow, those screenshots... they were nexgen or dx11" - they simply cannot do it now. They do not yet have any gameplay experience at all with advanced graphics yet. They look at nexgen games and get excited - news flash, nothing is special about nexgen, and it will be behind at launch just like last gen was.

8 times as powerful. And that is why the screenshots look the way they do. And the gameplay does not.

And it is already confirmed by recent previews: Game is far more aliased than trailers - exactly like I said it would be (exactly as they bashed me for saying it would be. HOW DID I KNOW? Because I am well versed in this stuff, and nothing they do on DX9 hardware is going to make 720p deferred shading look that smooth. FXAA is not good enough, it only smudges. You cannot AA GTA V on DX9 hardware)

The draw distance of their lights means nothing anyway, it's the sole purpose of choosing deferred shading, to be able to do that, but at the end of the day, the lighting in those screenshots I have drawn on and used as examples in this thread in the past is far more robust than seen in those videos. icon14.gif

Add 2 times, the hardware now is 10 times better. GTX580 is 2 generations behind, currentley we are on GTX780.

Consoles will stay the same forever, at the time when next gen consoles is released, the PC is again having the lead.

Nvidia with their Maxwell in Q1 204 and AMD with their HD9000 NEXT month.

Anyway, if Rockstar want to keep GTA Online playable with many many players - their only choice is to release it for PC and maybe next-gen consoles. Only PC platform has so many online games and only on PC platform players will be playing GTA V and GTA Online for many years to come.

It's not their only choice, it's the choice they already made when they started to work on their next GTA game.

Yeah. And like Silver Wolf said - they planned to release it in 2012, but delayed it till now. Why? Because I think people weren't happy. Rockstar said that we wouldn't be able to buy property etc. and after delay - they added it. So yeah, I think this gonna get some exclusive PC features.

Yeah, it is a bit confusing if you are just about to learn all that stuff. I deal with PC's since a few years, which is the reason why I know quite a bit about this subject. There isn't any processor for a "beginner's build", all you need is a budget for the processor, a new motherboard and possibly RAM, if needed. You can build the system yourself without a problem, it's harder to damage the hardware than doing it correctly, just in case you fear that you could do something wrong.

To find out what hardware you need, you should know what you want to do. Do you use the system only for gaming? Will you render videos, and compress and decompress files a lot? Do you need more than just a CPU? Why do you want to upgrade in the first place? I could go on, but to make it short: you need to know if an upgrade is in fact necessary, why you upgrade, and you have to know which PC part you need to upgrade in order to get satisfying result in the programs you use. Last but not least, there has to be a budget to narrow the selection.

Yeah, I know about most of those things, including how to build PCs. I actually have the build finalized, I'm just checking to make sure I've got good components.

GTA V IS NOT COMING TO PC.

Want to back up your statement with some proof?

Do you work at Rockstar?

No? then your opinion is just as speculative and useless as every other chuckle f*ck in here.

If you don't care about the topic, then stay the f*ck out.

Instead of constantly telling him to back off, which obviously he will not do, you can simply ban him.
