TheGodDamnMaster
I'm a retail employee at Cracker Barrel. I move boxes from a trailer to the storage room and vice-versa. I also break-down boxes and throw them in the dumpster. It's pretty boring, but it's easy enough. Job history: -Local Pizza place called Toppings. Left because I wasn't ready for a job yet (I was only 14). -I got re-hired last Spring by Toppings, but had to leave because I sucked at using the register. -WaWa convenience store/gas station. I had to leave due to extreme depression issues. -McDonalds. Left there because the whole place was a f*cking mess and the management was sh*tty. trip
Why has no one responded to this post? This topic comes up all the time. I'm actually bumping this for the WaWa reference . Local reference that most of us around here in the Delaware Valley don't realize how local it is. As much as a convenience store/gas station we think WaWa is...it is totally much more when strangers experience it. Dude!!!! it has real food!!! To stay on topic and beat an old f*cking horse. I work in the political side of town on the computer type of stuff. *Loved all of my past jobs from washing dishes to catering to rich people and their dogs. That's not a bad general description of my current role. More specifically, I work in zero-day threat identification and targeted attack detection, having (literally this week) transitioned from running my own company providing cyber security threat assessment and intelligence services to work for an information security consultancy firm. DEALUX
I am currently looking for a job. It's going to be crappy no matter what in terms of payment (you don't even want to know how crappy), but that's a general thing in this country with few exceptions. I'd leave the country tomorrow if I had the possibility and some assurance that I would be able to have a better life elsewhere, as much as I feel tied to this place emotionally. Bernard Jazz
Assistant manager of a club. I sometimes make money with the band I'm in although we've recently thrown all the money we have into recording our newest tracks and printing a truck load of CD's. Realistically I would like a job with set hours instead of working random nights and afternoons with no discernible pattern. Ideally I'd like to be a rock star, constantly smashed and snorting coke off a hookers tits.

WF the Hobgoblin
I'm one of the millions of young unemployed scum you hear about on the news every day. Problem is, I'm 24 and I still have no idea what I want to do career-wise. At the moment I'm pretty much just looking for any job I could do but despite the world being full of idiots, apparently there isn't anyone quite daft enough to employ me. universetwisters
I used to cut lawns over the summer with a landscaping business. The pay was good, $10 and hour, and I spent a lot of it on model trains!
Morsaw
Im currently a student. But as the years go by, I wanna save every penny that i've got to start an Event Company in Brazil. I wanna work with big artists like Skrillex, and even some Mainstream artists like Justin Bieber. (Yes I know he sucks and hes a douchebag, but his show sell out like Crack!) chris
I'm currently working as a store assistant in a UK supermarket, i'm a joiner/carpenter by trade but my city has been badly affected by the ongoing recession so not alot of opportunities for work really. I'm moving to Australia in a few months time so i'm quite happy working at the supermarket whilst i save for my visa, i need £3500 and i've got half of it already. jmf6
Graphic and web designer over here. I'm still a minor, so it's not a permanent job, but it sure does get some of my monthly invoices paid. I do get about $45-$90 a month from Google AdSense too.
GreatGig
I bum around. I hope you mean "bum" as in doing nothing and not as in a sort of way that Louie Spence might use it Some of you folks have some really interesting sounding jobs. I feel inadequate. I work in a local supermarket where I manage the warehouse and deal with all the promotions. It's not a bad job, the only down side is that my hours were cut some time ago so I'm now a part-timer. Still, I used to work as chef doing 72-hours a week so this is more than bloody welcome. There's a chance I could be changing jobs sometime soon though. I've been trying to move back up to Manchester for a while and it seems that this might be my ticket. Seriously hope nothing goes wrong with it all. I spent nearly 10 years in government network security. At one point we were the only city with an extranet with the FBI. Eventually stress got the better of me and I had to return to the development side of things. Good luck with the move from your own name to the firm. Rebel
Painter and Decorator by trade now. I go to college for my second year in it while I do jobs for friends/family. I'm also trying to just get myself an apprenticeship before I leave college since they set you up with them. Other than that, to keep a steady income I'm working in a local Chinese takeaway packing orders, taking orders, dealing with money and what not. Really cushy job with great pay considering the hours. anus
Unemployed. Why? Because 99% of employers here want a ridiculous amount of 'experience in a similiar field', even if it's a position that only requires you to moves boxes. The 1% who don't look for experience prey on the people who don't have experience (since they know people without experience can't find employment here), and work them like slaves. I'm being serious here, I got job offers to work at a call center for 12 hours a day for $85-$115 per month. f*cking slavery right there. I'm going to uni next year anyway so it doesn't matter all that much.
