Keeping "Friendly gang members killed" to zero

First of all, if anybody remembers me, it's great. I came back after a very long time. In these days, I am doing a real time job. But still I love this game very much even after 2 times 100% game completion.

 

This time, I have a doubt whether we can keep "friendly gang members killed" stat to zero. I make sure that not to accidentally killed any GSF member. When I leave LS, I could manage to get a six gang member respect level. But, at the same time, I have 10 friendly gang members killed stats. I can't understand how it can happen when I carefully not killed any GSF member. So, can anybody score zero for friendly gang members killed stats.

 

I also noticed that Vagos won't attack sometimes even CJ is near them and don't do anything bad. But, it's strange because Vagos have been set as one of CJ's main rival gang.

 

Also, is there anyway to change script to be allies with Ballas and Vagos?

It is possible because im doing the same thing, I'v got to 100% completion and 100% territory control with no friendly gang members being killed (I'v started a new game now so i have to do it again)

 

And GSF are weak, civilians can run them down died easily so save your game more often and check your stats before you do. "Friendly Gang Members Killed" wont appear until at least one has been killed.

What about GSF members during burglary? Killing them counts towards friendly gang members killed stat. Or perhaps GSF in "Sweet's girl'' mission...but I doubt it.

The one's in "Sweets Girl" don't count as Friendly gamg members believe me it's possible to 100% complete without GSF being killed.

 

The one's in "Reuniting The Families" don't count either

Friendly gang members killed is merely a stat. It does not indicate who is to blame. If one gets run over by someone else, it increases the count. If you run one over, it increases the count but you don't get "blamed" for it so your respect stat is untouched.

Here's a fun one - the random police chases and shootouts ... even if they're gsfs they increase the "criminals killed" stat and not friendly gang killed stat - even if you kill them. Actually, all the random police chases count towards the criminal stats. If you blast a few ballas in this scenario, it won't trigger a gang war or anything as they're criminals.

 

Making the ballas and vagos allies? Actually if you have the PC version you're in luck. You can change their like/dislike status if you use Paul Breuuwsma's editor. http://www.paulinternet.nl/sa

@Krawk- Actually you can type a cheat where you can recruit anyone forgot the name though, you can recruit ballas and vagos too! biggrin.gif

than using tool, it's better to do it manually and the changes is permanent than using savegame editor

 

open the .dat file in the gta sa directory, YOUR_GTA_SA_DIR\Data

look for the ped.dat or pedgrp.dat and open it using notepad - don't forget to backup your file (i forget the which one is, just check it). you should see this lines :

It's hard not to get GSFs killed during the riots, with all the explosions everywhere. Also, some GSFs always seem to get killed whenever a territory is attacked. Personally, I think it's not worth the trouble.

It's much harder to keep the rival gangs killed at zero, though it's not as if anyone would want to.

Strangely, the gangs killed on missions do not raise your "enemy gangs killed" stat.

That's because they're not true gang members. They're just random peds with gang member skins. I don't know why Rockstar programmed the game to do that, but that's it.

With "criminals killed" I guess you mean "criminals wasted". They're easy to mix up but they are not the same.

 

In gang areas, the fugitives that are chased by cop cars are often dressed in gang colors, but they do not count as gang members. They are just criminals with no ties to any gang, that's also why real gang members often opens fire at them although they wear the same colors.

In spite of this, the criminals that are chased by the police (not pedestrians) do not count as criminals if CJ kills them. I have many times helped the police and killed criminals they were chasing, but my "criminals wasted" stat did not increase. (PS2 v1)

 

The "criminals wasted" stat is only counting the three models of criminal peds, if you kill them in a legitimate way. I was going to say that the "criminals wasted" stat also counts criminals you kill on Vigilante, but Bamspeedy's San Andreas STATS v 1.3 is not mentioning it so I'm not sure about the Vigilante kills. The Vigilante kills are anyway counted separately in the "criminals killed on Vigilante" stat.

I always kill my homeboys on Catalyst, Green Sabre, Cleaning The Hood, (among others) because they don't increase my "friendly gang members killed" tally. The recruits on Los Sepulcros, however, will increase the tally.

 

Those killed on vigilante missions raise all criminal tallies, in my experience.

 

Needless to say, the peds at the low-rider challenges using Azteca skin models don't increase your "enemy gangs killed" tally either. Surprise, surprise?

I see it as a "scripted category" of people, they don't count as any particular group. There are many different scripted characters, ranging from criminals to cops. There is not stat for "scripted characters wasted". tounge.gif

A fascinating (yet unsurprising) discovery: peds using gang skin models on missions won't ask you where you're from; instead, they'll insult CJ. If you kill Cesar during Los Desperados, the peds with Vago skin models will insult your hair, shoes, etc. Likewise, if you kill Ryder during Cleaning The Hood, the peds with Ballas skin models will insult your hair, shoes, etc. To exemplify, the Rifa that wears sunglasses will say: "greasy hair, man".
