sivispacem
Speaking of TVRs, I always though the T350 interior was the right balance between brilliant and bonkers AMD Ryzen 5900X (4.65GHz All-Core PBO2) | Gigabye X570S Pro | 32GB G-Skill Trident Z RGB 3600MHz CL16 EK-Quantum Reflection D5 | XSPC D5 PWM | TechN/Heatkiller Blocks | HardwareLabs GTS & GTX 360 Radiators Corsair AX750 | Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic XL | EVGA GeForce RTX2080 XC @2055MHz | Sabrant Rocket Plus 1TB Sabrant Rocket 2TB | Samsung 970 Evo 1TB | 2x ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q | Q Acoustics 2010i | Sabaj A4
chris
I was a passenger in a TT Supra a while back, when you look at the driver it's like their in a position of authority, it's very much a driver focused set up and there isn't much to distract the passenger, it's hard to describe really but it just seems so purposeful. sivispacem
Modern steering wheels look gash, IMO. I've got no idea who decided it was "sporty" to have a square-bottomed wheel but I'd love to kick them in the gut for it. This is how the steering wheel on a sports car should look No pointless buttons to distract the driver. Thin outer rim for improved grip and ergonomics, small diameter for greater responsiveness, lightweight and suede surface. Unless you are talking about multistage traction control, switchable engine maps, gearbox shift profiles ect ect, then fair enough, but seriously... The huge steering wheels from 50's American cars, plain wooden steering wheels, square bottom racing wheels, the ones with a few useful buttons on both sides, ones wrapped in leather and/or wood or carbon fiber, and of course just regular ones like the one you posted. I don't however, like those steering wheels full of more buttons than a frikkin' dashboard, like this: Just what the hell.
Lurch
I'm with sivi. I really hate the way modern steering wheels look (anything with an air bag). The centers of them are just way too big and bulky. One thing I hate about dad's E30. I'd like to throw a good 3 spoke on it like what I have on the E28. Actually, I'd like to throw an M-tech on both cars. Flat bottom wheels though, are great in really small cars (miatas, lotus, etc) where every inch of room counts. I wish my friend's NA had something like this. Try being 6'5" and trying to squeeze into miatas and elises and tell me they're not something you'd like to have. hell my legs rub the E30's wheel so I wouldn't mind one in it. Outcast
Funnily enough I also agree with Sivis and Lurch. I hate having buttons on the steering wheel as I end up pressing a bunch of them when I'm turning the wheel one handedly.

sivispacem
Still a shade too wide around the rim for my tastes. visionist
Anybody with a sense of humour has to love this: I'm curious about all those gauges: speed & tacho in the middle, but the eight at the sides? Sneakerhead.
THIS. The 1995 Ford GT90 has the coolest interior EVER. Infact, the Ford GT90 is one of the coolest cars ever, imagine if Ford made a Racecar LM/GT1 Version.
visionist
The concept 4 has a delicious blend of rich, warm chocolate tones and stark, purposeful blacks. Ignore the silly woven cupholders and you have yourself an ambience plusher yet more purposeful than anything from Ingolstadt, and certainly nicer than that appalling stuck-on satnav screen bullsh*t the A class saloon will be saddled with. Outcast
I hate the S-Class dash mainly because there aren't enough buttons. I also hate COMAND with a passion. I like having a f*ckton of buttons, makes it actually feel like a machine and not a computer.

Fuel, coolant, oil pressure & temperature, boost, volts; that's six. Anybody know the other two? Exhaust temp maybe? Oil level? I've checked Renault 5 gauges for you. visionist
^ Thanks Tycek! Another image of the 6 Grancoupe's dash. The M6 version gets darker brown leather and most importantly, a black headliner. The Lotus Elan +2: A very stately plank of timber for such a diminutive motor car. The dash & central console are all in one continuous slab creating a hefty impression of solidity. Who needs legroom? In the Sixties Jags looked the business inside & out. This XJ has eluded identification: I can't find any images online, save this one I took myself: This is free-thinking dash design. The usual practice is to limit veneers to the fascia with a stitched surround in hide. Jag went beyond. The timber wraps around the top and up the pillars, turning a clichéd appliqué into a stunning example of the art. Fitting all this wood & leather together is a nightmarish jigsaw and not seen today even on a quarter-million quid Rolls Royce. Then again, crash testing's come a long way. epoxi
The buttons on the Bentley dash look like they feel really nice to press. I prefer lots of buttons, even if they are never used, just to make me feel important. Is there a car with a dashboard like the Apollo control centre? I prefer lots of buttons, even if they are never used, just to make me feel important. Yeah, got good feedback to them. I'm glad they didn't go with a system like iDrive or COMAND. That sh*t sucks balls. The Vector W2 cockpit looks like you're flying a fighter jet or piloting a giant mech. Give me some roof mounted switches and it is f*cking perfect. Kifflom112
Bump! For some reason, I really dig the Alpina B10 V8's dashboard - or really it's whole interior. Love that veneer and leather color Alpina uses.
