I think San Diego is busy doing the engine for the next gen(and helping with GTA V for the final rush).The next RD would be growing up with the engine,so I expect the next RD not earlier than spring 2014. Yeah they had a hand in LA Noire and they announced Agent, but I haven't seen a new IP from them in years. Don't get me wrong I want GTA to continue forever, but are we making it so they feel more comfortable retreading old ground then trying something completely new and different. Or are they just set in they're ways? I know there was Undead Nightmare and I guess the Manhunt games sort of fall into it, but I'm talking about in the realm of Silent Hill or Resident Evil. I could just as easily say you need to let go of Bully 2. AGENT is most likely far further along production that Bully 2 so you're sort of contradicting yourself there. That's a bit different though. There's an imminent release of GTA coming and they've already shown a trailer and some screenshots. With Agent, we have an extremely brief and vague description of the game from over 3 years ago, and some leaked screenshots of the concept environment (again, dated from 3 years ago). Rockstar don't acknowledge Agents existence, despite the fact it's already been announced, and Sony answer with "you need to ask Rockstar". I don't think that's exactly true, i'm pretty sure they just pushed it to Next gen, i'm still positive it will be released some time in the future, most likely as a PS4 exclusive. Bully had many problems with many countries, so they're probably leaving it as a last option. They don't wanna risk an entire game and lose their money. Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire were awesome, specially RDR. If they want to make a sequel for one of these games, they need to be very careful. But from Rockstar everything can be expected, so a sequel for RDR or L.A. Pat Posted October 20, 2012 Share Posted October 20, 2012 I think we're long past the point where if Agent is still in development, it's going to be exclusive to one platform. The only reason it started as a PlayStation 3 exclusive is because Sony was funding the development. With the recent financial issues Sony has been suffering from, not to mention a complete and total lack of any mention of Agent from them, I very sincerely doubt they're still funding the project at this point. If they aren't funding it, Rockstar isn't going to keep it exclusive to their console - all that would do is minimize profits, and at the end of the day, they are still a business. They're going to do whatever they can to make more money. I think the project has just been canned altogether, though. That, or it's going to be on the backburner for quite a long time.
