Was just reading some posts in the GTAV section of the forums and seen some people say that Rockstar announce a new game before they start marketing their next game. They announced V ~7 months before Max Payne 3 came out. Now that it seems that marketing will be starting for V soon with GI confirming it to be their December issue cover, it made me think, what's next? I personally would love to see a new Red Dead game. Midnight Club was one of the first series I really enjoyed, owned all of the games. But I'd hate to see another one, the first was great, the second was the bomb, the third was okay (and the remix version wasn't worth it), and LA just didn't have the feel that I associated with the series. The cofounder and vice president of creative at Rockstar, Dan Houser, told Gamasutra that the publisher may be returning to the critically well-received Bully following the release of Max Payne 3. I Hope AGENT is like a Spinoff of the GTA Universe like how The Manhunt Series is. Bully 2 would be cool aswel, I don't know if they will ever make another Manhunt again because they had to tone down Manhunt 2 so much they might not want to deal with that again. We all know there will be another Max Payne/Red Dead/GTA but I would like an all new Series from Rockstar but maybe that will be what AGENT is I Hope. Yeah they had a hand in LA Noire and they announced Agent, but I haven't seen a new IP from them in years. Don't get me wrong I want GTA to continue forever, but are we making it so they feel more comfortable retreading old ground then trying something completely new and different. I mean like Agent could take place in a New City in the GTA World, like maybe in V they could mention the City on the news and then make a game there like with Carcer City and Manhunt being mentioned in III. Or are they just set in they're ways? Well we still have yet to see AGENT and what that's about, that was their last new I.P announced and we still haven't seen a single thing from it yet! Depending on how well AGENT does would determin if they want to try more new ideas but really, most new attempts by Rockstar don't get off the ground well, look at games like Table Tennis.
