Wow. So instead of getting the info Thursday (legit through digital release), I will have to wait an extra week for the print version? That sucks!!!!

But you can convert to digital for free then buy the hard copy in store if you want it as keepsake.

LOL True. I'd just rather have the physical magazine in my hands. You can compare it to Physical/Digital gaming...

I hear ya man. Me personally, GTA is the only real reason I have a sub at all. So I'm gonna convert to digital so I can read/see it Thursday and then buy hard copy when it hits the store. I'm fine with getting the rest of my issues digital

Will my Aussie and New Zealand bros be getting the new magazine earlier compared to the rest of the world since we're ahead of time? Shifty41s_beerhatsmilie2.gif

 

Happens with game releases all the time, including movies and the release of GTA IV.

Im glad you have finally come around. I remember when you resisted the idea. I think they will do the three separate story lines. They have only released one GTA on this current Gen consoles and they will have only released two for this gen period. I think they could pull it off in this game they have said it will be there biggest so far.

 

I mean, one of the main reasons I think it will be multiple protagonists is because, well... we really haven't had anyone CENTRALIZED as a main protagonist. We've seen multiple characters. Me and some of my PSN friends were discussing how many protagonists there will be. EFLC had 3... so I think it will be the same this time around... only they won't be DLC's. We were also discussing who we thought the 3 protagonists could be. The Balcony Guy, and the Hispanic guy of course... but the third guy really was a debate.

 

We kept discussing how diverse each character should be. Balcony Guy's theme could be the rich side of Los Santos. Hispanic Guy the poor side... as for the third one, we discussed it being the Homeless Guy or the Tatted Black Guy, but I really would like for the 3rd guy to be The Quad Guy from the new artwork. I think he could offer a story all his own, from the countryside aspect. I mean, this dude looks like a redneck hick. I'm curious to see what HIS version of the pursuit of the almighty dollar could be. Perhaps he could be the antagonist to the Balcony Guy and Hispanic Guy... and we will have the chance to play HIS story. I mean, we've played as all kinds of criminals in R*'s games... but NEVER have we played as a redneck hick. Would be interesting, don't you think?

Yeah, I agree. If there is a third, my money is on it being the quad bike guy. He's probably the same guy shooting at the helicopter in one of the 'Business' screenshots. He looks completely unlike anyone we've ever played as before, which is something you can't really say about the red-car guy or the balcony guy. Rockstar like doing things like this, as in every protagonist in IV's complete edition was unlike previous Grand Theft Auto protagonists. So I can see them going down this path again, but I can't help shake the feeling that the balcony guy is too similar to Tommy and the red car guy is too similar to CJ. I suppose it's too early to tell.

 

@Deffpony, the second I finish reading the article twice over, my clock will be set for the second trailer. A second Christmas, if you will.

Agreed. That's what I hate about games. I get so hyped and excited for it and then it comes out, I buy it and they it's like Yay I have it, but it doesn't feel as good as when I was hyped.

Nope, it goes by US time. If it's released at 4PM in 'Murica, it will be released in the early morning for you guys down under.

Im a complete noob at this, but i want to purchase the digital copy of the game informer issue thats due on thursday. Can anyone help me out? There dosent seem to be a GI app on the appstore on iphone.
