I see a lot of peeps on here are saying Rockstar have failed with this marketing campaign for gta v, but if you ask me they know exactly what they are doing. Why do you think everyone on this forum is going crazy over some leaked artwork? If we had leaked artwork for almost any other game nobody would take notice, but this is gta v, the same gta v that everybody has waited patiently for more info for a year now from that original trailer. If you ask me Rockstar has got the hype up to maximum levels for this game with a lack of, well, pretty much anything for a year.

Lol they haven't failed.

 

It's out of Rockstar's control now. Once you start shipping promotional stuff to retailers it's more likely to be leaked. I don't feel spoiled in anyway. It's got me really excited again. Dogs>Quads>Female police>Cactuses...f*ck yeah!

 

And it confirms a spring 2013 release. Majority of people already were guessing that. It'll be out between March and June biggrin.gif

 

We still have the GI issue, trailer 2, official box art, exact release date and loads of other stuff to look forward to in the marketing campaign! biggrin.gif

 

Just think...within the next 4-7 months we'll be FINALLY playing GTA V biggrin.gif

Yeah i agree the lack of info has deffo made me apreciate these little droplets of info coming our way smile.gif

This is the best marketing campagin R* has ever done in the Grand Theft Auto series and i'm thinking that this new marketing campagin is looking pretty huge early next year I have to say to be honest.

I think Rockstar has got it all worked out. They must have been prepared for this.

 

Sometimes leaks can ruin the marketing/game but with Rockstar it just gives them more publicity. They have kept quiet so long and gave out very little information so when a leak happens everyone just gets hyped up and doesn't stop talking about it. You wouldn't see anywhere near this amount of excitement if Rockstar had spent the last year talking about the game and putting out assets, as they like to call them, every week or month. People would just be like "Oh, look...something new. woohoo." but, take a read at the topic that was posted, everyone is going crazy "OMG QUADS! FEMALE POLICE!! SHES SO HOT!! OMG A CACTUS WE HAVE DESERT! FUUUUCK YEAAH!!"

 

If I were Rockstar I wouldn't be worrying right now smile.gif

Same! I can't wait to get my email from GI saying that the December issue is ready for viewing biggrin.gif

 

I'll be avoiding the forums all day on the 8th. I want to see the cover design and read all 18 pages on my own. It would suck to come on here and see it all posted before I got to read it.

If you were around for the A&A in July and the screenshot release between 20th-24th August then you'd have seen that there were more than 500 people online tounge.gif

 

The most people ever online was when the trailer was released. 6,238 people were online on the 2nd November 2011!

 

The GI issue is gonna have a sh*t load of information. I'm expect AT LEAST 1,000 people to be all in the same topic.

I was I was too busy trying to read what was wrote before the next 4 pages sprung up. guessing 500 is an understatement!

5th for pre orders and 8th for Game Informer issue biggrin.gif

I'll be pre ordering GTA V on the 5th anyways as I will attend Games Stop's midnight launch for halo 4. Going to be awesome!

Yes, the absence of PC among platforms greatly influenced my excitement for GI cover as well as for GTA V in general.

 

I'll wait for more official information, and, if the game will be released on PC in a year, I think it will be time to forget about GTA V to better times. Because it is not serious - to wait another year and to pay so much attention to the game. It was enough for the past year

Game Informer have said that this will be the biggest article they have ever done and they've been around since 1991!!

If you live in the US then just go into a Game Stop store after the 16th November and pick a copy up.

 

If you live outside the US and have an iPad (not sure about Android tablets) then you can purchase a single copy from Newsstand.

 

If you live outside the US and don't have an iPad then you'll need to find somewhere to buy a copy from America and have it sent to you.

 

It's much easier just to subscribe digitally. It's available worldwide and only costs $19.98 (this price doesn't include tax) for a years subscription. You get the GTA issue and another 11 issues. Not bad if your interested in video games.... Just make sure to subscribe before the end of this week as it can take up to 3 days to process your subscription. Mine took ~30 hours.

 

Or, of course, you could just wait until it's posted all over the internet...
