They could be slightly outdated compared to where it is now or whatever, but they show us basically what it will look like: an improved version of GTA IV's graphics. It doesn't look as good as MP3 (nor would I expect it to: it's a open world game, resources have to be give and take when you consider the limitations), and it looks close to Red Dead Redemption. Maybe better in some places, a little worse in other places, pretty much equal everywhere else. If nearly every light source in the game gives off a shadow like they do in RDR then that's one thing alone that will make the game look much better than GTA IV, especially in motion. But since the game will be so much more heavily populated with light sources, peds, and structures than RDR, I find it unlikely that this particular part will look as good. Again, it's a give and take. We can't really say that just because it's newer, it will look better, because you also take into consideration things like world size, and the amount of content, and just overall optimization. It definitely does look good though, especially for a large open world game. And people also talk about how the engine should be a further improvement over MP3 just because it will be coming out later. But GTA V probably began development not that long after MP3, which means it could be running on an earlier version of RAGE (building upon GTA IV), with its own tweaks and upgrades done in parallel to MP3, not on top of MP3. So it's not going to be overall improvement, engine-wise and graphics-wise, from MP3. It really can't be. It still looks really good in my opinion, and is a definite improvement over GTA IV, and so I think we should be comparing it to GTA IV, not MP3. You can see the bullettime and everything like Max Payne 3 + third person which makes MP3 nothing new. Stranglehold was released in 2008 some time before GTA IV what ? seriously, Max Payne "3", its the third game, Max Payne has been around since 2001, already had bullet time and shootdodging, if anything , it was Stranglehold who carry on much on Max Payne. some people Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What post are you talking about? Yeah, MP3 was a let down for me because I was expecting Max Payne from MP1 and Mp2. Those were awesome.. MP3, well, how do I say it.. It just didn't FEEL right to me.. Oh and the final straw, the thing that really really REALLY made me so angry at MP3, New York f*ckING Minute.. on Hardcore mode.. the game froze on me.. on the Train stage.. so near the end.. so close..
