JaggySnake
Lol, alright then. I know TakeTwo owns Rockstar and all that but I think if they want to put something out then they will. Rockstar = GTA V 2K = Bioshock Two different games and two different studios. Won't stop GTA V.

Andreas
Yes, Rockstar Games and 2K Games are sister-companies and part of Take-Two Interactive but they still can work independently so the release of the second GTA V trailer won't be changed because of a game from the sister-company. Ash_735
Are you suggesting we're not getting another trailer until March 2013 or later? No, suggesting we wont get a trailer this month as BioShock have announced a new huge trailer coming October 21st. And since BioShock is another Take-Two game, it wouldn't make sense to have two huge games launch trailers so close to each other.
Adriaan
Yeah, showcases and marketing for two different games from two different labels can co-exist easily. Think of L.A. Noire and Duke Nukem, which ended up releasing within the same 30 day period. I don't really think a trailer from BioShock will cause Rockstar to go silent for the entire month of October for that very reason.

It wouldn't make sense but the target audience isn't quite the same so it could be done easily and even serve as reference to Rockstar. Shreddy Krueger
I don't think this will hinder GTA's timeline. It's just a trailer, and the only thing 2K Games and Rockstar have in common are that they're owned by the same publisher, Take Two. Just think, 2K Sports was promoting NBA2K13 at the same time it was promoting Borderlands 2, and released in relatively short time of each other. This is really a non-issue. R* has no excuse for being silent they should have said something by now.

If it was a game release then yes it'd be bad to release both moneymakers at the same time but trailers?? I actually thing it would be a great move to raise hype towards TTwo. The release of both a Bioshock and GTA wouldn't hinder the sales of anything. People already know Bioshock isn't coming out until 2013, so a new trailer shouldn't put people off from buying games releasing for the holiday season. As for GTA V, sure a trailer would be great news, but again, if a new trailer shows a release date, and that date is in 2013, then it's the same situation as Bioshock; people will still buy the anticipated upcoming blockbuster games, and will get GTA in the new year. But all that is speculation and what-ifs. The general point I'm trying to get across is that simply releasing a trailer for a game that isn't releasing for 6 months, shouldn't hinder the sales of another game that's coming out in ~1 month. iddqdvie
noooooooooooooooooooo ! i knew that: "in a few weeks OR SO" means more than a month minimum... but with october comes the anniversary, they "must" show something. btw: the longer they take the more i believe they put vice city and san andreas and maybe mexico in one fantastic big f*cking map! significantother
This post is implying because Bioshock Infinite's trailer is coming a new trailer won't come this month. Now, I know. I know it's owned by 2K Games which is a sister to Rockstar Games. Blah blah. But, that doesn't mean we won't get a trailer if another popular games trailer is announced. Wasn't Max Payne 3 announced before the GTA V Trailer came out? Yes, it was! I'm not saying get your hopes up, but I wouldn't say give up hope because of Bioshock Infinite. MosquitoSmasher
What is the significance about November, MosquitoSmasher? The debut trailer launched in November, didn't it? It doesn't have to be the case, but i can see the second trailer (if we'll have one this year, but if not...goddamn!!!!!) releasing exactly a year after its debut trailer. Could R* pull it off to release a trailer for a game that is coming out a month after they release the second trailer? No. I don't believe that's enough time. Not unless They've had the distribution mapped out a few months before the 2nd trailer came out, thus creating the illusion that everything is happening quickly. But that would mean that retailers would already have intel about when GTA is coming down the pipeline, and if that were the case there would be some legitimate leaks by now. So no. There is no surprise tactic here. R* is just taking their sweet ass time and not sticking to their word (i.e. "in a few months", "in a few weeks or so"). Until something substantial happens via the newswire or a GI exlusive, all we can do is what. The ball is in R*s court and has been for a long f*cking time. However there's less people showing up for the game, I'm afraid.
