Freezer89
My friends didn't even know about the trailer. Are they gamers? Do they even care about videogames? If not, then it doesn't surprise me in the slightest. If so, then they obviously aren't GTA fans. And/Or they just don't follow any gaming-related news. It's nearly impossible not to see GTA V being mentioned in the gaming news for the last months (or since the annouincement).

A lot of friends of mine aren´t real gamers, most of them only play FIFA and COD, they are all like "Oh man Im going to buy BO2, looks awesome" and they haven´t even see the trailer of GTA V, most of "our friends" only played San Andreas or any other GTA just to kill people ridiculous. The Notorious MOB
My first time seeing the first GTA IV trailer is a distant memory now but I remember the first time I seen the ad for The Lost and Damned on TV. I had heard that there would be two XBox exclusive DLCs coming out for GTA IV shortly after it was released but I hadn't really thought too much about them or been following news about them so I got really excited when I seen the ad.. I even joined this forums shortly after release. So I can only imagine the excitement for somebody seeing the GTA V trailer and screenshots for the first time. S1LV3R_W0LF
Where was your friend the last year in a cave? Or in a place without contact with the outside world? If you use Internet you'd know it for sure, and if you are a GTA fan you receive Rockstar newsletters. But if he was in a place without Internet, or didn't use it, it's normal he don't know, TV don't show spots yet and magazines didn't published much yet either. Anyway now that you told him you unleashed a course on him.
Kifflom112
That is so fascinating No seriously what is the point of this topic? "What would you be like if you only just saw the trailer and screenshots TODAY?What would your reaction be? " My reaction would be the same, the date will be very different though. You don't need to be such a dick. OT: I would be amazed really, and I'd be soo hyped. And in a way I'd be glad I found out about it now than earlier. But shamefully, I was many of the early birds, and now my hype is lowering due to info being scarce.

Durden
I don't regret my knowledge about V in the slightest. Just knowing that the next installment in my favourite video game franchise of all time is being created, and features the largest R* map to date, with the inclusion of a lot of fun gameplay aspects that made SA "the best", such as Bicycles, Planes, Military, etc... is enough to have made the last year really joyful because I have something really cool to look forward to. While some may regret knowing about the game because of the excrutiating wait they've had (and are) enduring, I wouldn't have it any other way. Dick Justice
At this point, I'm glad Rockstar didn't announce the release date along with the trailer. It would have been gut-wrenching to see a 2013 date at the end of a trailer released in 2011. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal anymore though because, well, the game is much closer. Sorry for being a little off-topic. Just a random thought I had that didn't warrant it's own thread.
GTAknowledge
This is the outcome of Rockstars failed marketing.
golf wang
This is not surprising. Many people on here act as if GTA is like an all-known entity of the world or something. The majority of people who really know about the game are the users on this site, gamers, and GTA fans. Even most casual gamers don't really know about GTA V yet.
