DonCaffa Posted October 9, 2012 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Nice idea! It would give a more realistic feeling/picture. It would also be cool during chases and stunts. It would be fun to drive over them without worrying about your wheel axes and your head. Things like that make GTA better than real life. I always try to drive full speed without collisions.. didnd't do great so far because of the - passing trough red, or ignoring driving rules - fellow street users. So a little more focus on traffic would be nice, with the addition of speed bumps as a example. The simulation of traffic will add to the fun on the road and therefore make th game more fun (when the story is finished) to wonder about. Don't mind my langauge. The added challenge would be that after all day of driving disposable cars right over them without a care, remembering where they are at when you have that one car you're trying to keep nice. The not-popping-tires, breaking-suspension, hitting-your-head-on-the-ceiling part would be pretty fun, if you ask me. The way the RAGE engine did damage in IV made it easily possible, and common, to hit a huge jump (or small one) without doing much, if any, damage. Imagine launching 40-50 feet in the air from one tiny bump (much like the small yellow ones between the runways at the airport), or if going for a more realistic portrayal, hopping over the slowpoke car in front of you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Remember how you can easily lauch yourself out of a pot hole in Liberty city, the holes are just like in real NY the thing is that the flying bit isn't, so fixing the flaw that made vehicles, usually bikes fly could be solved yet keep the fun of flying just by adding speed bumps and replicating that flaw but in a more plausible way. You hardly see them in the city, unless you are driving into a hospital parking lot or something, but in the outer boroughs they are surprisingly common. I wouldn't mind a couple thrown into GTA V as they could present an interesting obstacle during police chases, but I could see them getting annoying if there are too many. Maybe just throw a couple into some of the smaller towns and stuff or into mall parking lots, etc. I can't believe we are so starved for info we are discussing speed bumps. Maybe Rockstar could use the same dead-peds physics for a few speed bumps, but just in one suburb street. I sure wouldn't want them all over the place.
