fgcarva1
I haven't seen any topics about the red Bull Stratos project yet. But it is going on today and I am glued to it. So let me sum it up... This Austrian guy, Felix Baumgartner, who is a professional skydiver will attempt to jump from 120,000 feet and survive. This will break the record for highest basejump ever which used to be 102,000 feet set by Joseph Kittinger in 1960. He's going to attempt to be the first human to reach the speed of sound and is expected to reach Mach 1.89. Personally I was kinda psyched for it until I saw this video which amazed me the most and made me super excited to watch it. Felix is actually in Roswell, NM for the launch is a few minutes. It should take him about 3 hours to get to the jump point, then he's on his own, expected nearly 6 minutes of free fall plus the 5-10 from when he pulls his chute at 5,000 feet.
