MIKON8ERISBACK
I would suggest getting a security camera and arming yourself. Obviously you told the police. Good.
MikeMyth
...I was watching the first episode of Season 6 Gossip Girl... Yes, I love watching Gossip Girl, it makes me feel like a man. Anyway, close call, you are lucky you reacted the way you did. You could have died. Close call, you know I almost died once too? Thank god I spit out that piece of steak. ThirstyHyena
Damn dude, I hope everything goes well. But look at it from the bright side, you've got quite a story to tell your children and grandchildren.
LotusRIP
Glad you're alright mate. Where in Australia do you live? I'm assuming the people that broke in thought no one was home, yeah? I live in Perth. And yeah, happened just as my mum left so they probably thought no one would be inside. I was just about to ask this. I live in Sydney inner west, and last week while I was overseas apparently there was a carjacking at gunpoint at the intersection adjacent to our apartment block. It's quite a sunny and family friendly area with lots of schools but just goes to show it can happen anywhere.... I've always feared the worst with break ins, thinking I hear or see things that are just my imagination, I want to know how you reacted when you knew that sh*t just got real? I'm scared if it ever happens ill just freeze up and poop my pants.... Seriously... Can see my body going to jelly and not being able to talk or move... Guest
I want to know how you reacted when you knew that sh*t just got real? As soon as I heard the glass smash is when I knew sh*t got real, and immediately ran outside and called the police, because I was at the front door when it happened and had already had 000 dialed on my phone just incase lol
Belgium bagel
Being home while your home is burglarized in itself is nervewracking. Props for you being quick on your feet. Like others above said i'd buy a Pistol or shotty and plant my ass in a corner of a room if it ever happens again. If a gun aint an option i'd get some OC spray, whoever gets sprayed i guarantee will be brought to tears and stumble out of the house. I just recently got certified with it and i can tell you firsthand the sh*t is potent and effects longlasting.

If a gun aint an option i'd get some OC spray, I don't think you're allowed to own a pistol in Western Australia unless it's part of your occupation so that's definitely out, and to get a shotgun you would have to obtain a license which would mean joining a gun club, or having a property and an excuse to have a gun (IE pest control), i don't know the exact process to being able to own a shotgun though, it could be harder than i predict. Pepper spray would be a good idea though, you probably couldn't apply, but your mom would be able to if she claimed self-defence and because she's a woman they'll give it to her. Triple Vacuum Seal
I'm sincerely glad your okay OP. The police are useless. They often times try their best, but show up after the damage is done. Not much of a shotgun person myself, but that sounded like a perfect situation for one. Just in case. HOW'S ANNIE?
Glad to hear you survived mate, not sure how I would have handled it had I been in that situation. Not sure about any other Australians out there, but this (and other similar stuations) really highlights the fact that we should be able to legally bare arms for self defence reasons, and not just for sport/hunting. GunWrath
I had a break-in awhile back, luckily I wasn't home and most of my valuables are in a safe or in my gun safe. Acouple electronics were taken, nothing serious.. Had a broken pane of glass in the back door. They reached in I suppose to unlock the door. If I were home.. they wouldn't have had a chance.. I let my pit roam around the house when I'm here more often and I always keep my .45 within gripping distance since the burglary. There has been a ring of them around here for the last few months. When I had my business, my pit used to guard the lot at night or during the day while I was there. Never had a break-in at the shop. I rescued Diesel from a dog fighting ring they busted here locally and he's a damned good pet man.. basically my other son. The law here states that if the suspect enters past your homes threshold, you can shoot to kill with no danger of breaking the law. But if you shoot them let's say while they're on the porch cracking open the door, you can go to jail and face time. So If I ever have that happen while I'm home, I'll make sure they enter the house first. Ratta tat tat.. Anyways, I hope they catch the guys that broke into your home and I'm glad you're all safe. I also put up motion lights around the house, so that at night I know when someone creeps up. It's basically a f*cking spotlight.. I get complaints from it all the time So it works. LuisBellic
That's why when I move out when I turn 18 i'm getting a strap. If they try to bust in i'll just start shooting near them to scare the sh*t out of them.
Schemer
GTA taught you to avoid the dangerous guys and GTA taught me to beat their motherf*cking ass! I would of leap at them like Niko Bellic start whooping some ass. Seriously though, glad you made it out all right and glad to hear they didn't get away with to much. A window and a few bucks can be replaced. I remember when some guy who was high and out of it, tried braking into my house a few summers ago. He probably would of made it into my house until he was interrupted by my dad running towards him with a deer skinning knife. Oh and he didn't just chase them out the yard, no he chased that dude nearly into the next parish/county until the police finally showed up. Some people just don't have respect for other people stuff.
