MrPaul123
Hi guys, anyone else love banjo music here? Just been listening to Gerry O'Connor and he never fails to lifted my spirits with his banjo playing. I just love this performance here, i love the tempo change, what do you think? trip
Ya know what Mr. Paul? I actually signed in just to reply to this post. Why yes...yes I do love banjo music. ' Even own and play one. I sure hope you know some Doc Watson And of course Pete Seeger* *If you are younger and do not know of Pete Seeger be sure to watch this video. It is semi recent. Pete will soon be dead, and it is near impossible to calculate how hard it is going to hit millions. Tyler
Yeah man. Americana is one of those genres that's become a begrudging favorite of mine as time passes, simply due to it being such a large part of my childhood selection, and the banjo is just a standard in Americana, really. The Be Good Tanyas are a more contemporary trio that includes a banjo in their gig, and they're pretty easy to dig if you're at all into the grassroots, blues and folk influenced sound. This one's not banjo-centered but it's a good primer for their general sound.
Remix
After playing guitar and piano for a few years now, I'm really keen to pick up a banjo. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I should be looking for? Any specific brands? I have an extremely limited knowledge of Banjos, so any help is really appreciated. Love the banjo sound in these songs: Cheers guys.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I should be looking for? Any specific brands? That is the cool thing about banjos. They are a simple instrument so you don't have to spend sh*t tons of money. Years ago you used to be able to pick them up in K-Mart and places like that. I have an Anteras. It was like $200 back in the mid 90s. My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens
