menny
I wanna see some real sound improvement, especially for vehicles. I can't hear any difference between Blista and F620. This is just an example. I think the same for bikes and boats. What do you think?
r0eladn
Yes, very important. I usually am not critical on what R* gives us, but this was one thing that bothered me. Weird car noises, too small a difference between different cars. Certainly a point on which R* can improve.
JaggySnake
If they change one thing it has to be the guns. They sound like sh*t in IV. They should go record the real guns the weapons are based on. Car sounds need to be changed too. Weapons and Cars.
Dragonjack
Yeah I hope there is some improvement on the sounds such as, its vehicles & weaponry. I definitely can see Rockstar are going to make fantastic sounds in GTAV in my opinion.
menny
There was some improvement in the past GTAs. For me,sounds in San Andreas looks more different from GTA 3 sounds. They looks more realistic to me. Maybe R* can take the same step forward with V.
Raynos
Hmm.. I thought the sounds in GTA IV were pretty good. If you use a 7.1 surround headphone, you'd seriously notice all the little sounds, the little details. Its pretty awesome actually. lol, Anyone remember car sounds from Saints Row 3? Every car with an endless amount of gears? lol
TenEightyOne
I wanna see some real sound improvement... See it? You sure? I've always thought that the vehicle sounds could be better, but as Raynos says GTAIV through headphones was an epic experience. I onlt just got some headphones and Liberty City has so much depth and atmosphere now! Still too brown though...
Raynos
lol Yeah, Get these http://store.sony.com/p/PS3-Wireless-Headp...s/en/p/PS399037 7.1 Virtual surround, make ANY game so much better. This new version has Bass Boosters and from reviews, it is indeed quite epic. Ofcourse, you could get a full Surround Sound setup, but to be honest, These headphones do a better job, mostly because all the volume is controlled to your ear rather than going through the room. You also don't have to worry about disturbing others in the middle of the night with your surround sound on loud. Finally, Porn. Yes, most of us watch it on mute, Well, with these wireless headphones, you porn is now on full volume with all its .. Glory.

The problem with wireless headphones is, that some parts of the frequency band have to be cut off due to the small bluetooth transfer rate. But yes, GTA IV with high-end headphones is a smashing experience! I use Sennheiser surround headphones myself. I once tried it and now I always play IV that way. However, there are some sound effects in IV, that could use an improvement. As stated before, the car sounds and some effects of the weaponry have room for it. But they are far away from being dull, though.

018361
Not trying to be a modilante or anything but the wishlist thread is Here EDIT Yes, the game could have used better sounds. The saw in ballad sounded like a cheap air-soft rifle they bought at a local Walmart. Edited October 9, 2012 by 018361

Apex
Listen from 1:02 to 1:07, that scene always stood out to me because the engine sounded so realistic along with the sound of the crunchy rocks underneath the wheels.

I Shot The Sheriff
Definitely a must... I want more elaborated and particular engine noises according to the number of cylinders, aspiration or supercharged, diesel petrol or hybrids, year of the engine, different tone throughout the revving span to feel the actual work of the engine, and overall less plain and more powerful sounding vehicles.
