ARCHELEZ
How does everyone feel about this? because after watching and playing 3D games, I have found it too be EPIC!..... If V goe's with this, I'll be happy as Jack! Did a search, and there was nothing.

Lewligan
Don't see why not - can imagine a lot of people would be pleased if it was introduced. I probably wouldn't use it - but I think a large percentage would appreciate having the option.

Lewligan
http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/09/rockstar...ill-cold-on-3d/ Makes sense... No point just chucking it in for the sake of it. Should only be implemented if it is gonna benefit the game as a whole.
kj2022
I don't see how 3d would work in a game like GTA, maybe if it was first person, but as it is, it'd kinda be like walking behind that annoying person in the supermarket and you can't get around them, only with more explosions and killing. WF the Hobgoblin
I've never played a 3D game and I've only seen one film in 3D but it hated it so I doesn't sound appealing to me.
jnzooger
Now we're on the subject, is there something as 3D porn? Anyone? Plenty of it. On topic: This has been discussed many times on here. For most people, it seems that they are hesitant to even try it. The ones that try it seem to be mixed if its worth the extra hardware or not. But alas, its simple to try it out if you have an nvidia gpu and GTA IV on PC, with some magenta/cyan glasses. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D-Vision-Discover-Main.html (Supported with many games, and no I don't work for nvida, sadly.) John The Grudge
It makes the screen dark and decreases detail and makes it difficult to focus on the screen. So I'm not a fan of 3D at all.
Freezer89
Hmmm....If I want to see things in 3D, like in real-life, I would go outside! Hmmm.. I don't think you know what 3D in this case means. I wouldn't mind it, but I wouldn't also use it. At least not regulary.. I usually get headaches after just few minutes (from 3D-movies or so). Miss Darko
Well I think he's actually sort of on the mark here. In real life, we perceive depth because we have two eyes. 3D images use various methods (most notably stereoscopic, anaglyph, and filter-based) to present two slightly different images to both of our eyes individually to simulate this effect. In fact, if you close one of your eyes and then open them again, you get a very similar effect to what taking off your 3D glasses and putting them back on does with the depth in a 3D image (although in real life if you close one of your eyes, it doesn't suddenly become all blurry). As for my opinion on it... to be honest, I actually like 3D a lot. But it's something that kind of alienates certain segments of the audience, because many people experience headaches or have difficulties focusing. I don't have these issues, once I get used to it I can experience a 3D image just fine, but not everyone gets to experience this. My main problem with the 3D movement in films is its gimmicky quality. They charge way too much extra for it and, just from an artistic perspective, the whole "oooh look, everything's jumping out of the screen at you!!" is just kind of stupid. I like 3D because of the depth it creates inwards, making the world feel more immersive, like I'm actually there. I certainly think it has its place there, and could be used as an expressive tool in film-making, like the addition of sound and color to films were in the past (but certainly not nearly as ground-breaking, of course) And video games seem like they would be a great medium for 3D. Of course, I'd never use it because I don't have a 3D TV and because the people who make those TVs are greedy bastards they'll make sure games never include a red/cyan or whatever anaglyph option which works on any kind of display. To be fair, I think the anaglyph option is probably worse for your eyes and just the overall image quality than the method they've been using in theaters and on 3D TVs, second of course to cross-eye and parallel-vision stereoscopic methods. But that basically means I'll never really get to experience that sort of thing, at least not in the foreseeable future. Because, f*ck it, it's not worth it. jnzooger
It makes the screen dark and decreases detail and makes it difficult to focus on the screen. So I'm not a fan of 3D at all. Depends on the type of filter tech your screen uses. The "Cinema 3D" tvs use passive glasses that do not darken the image, where the active shutter style ones do cut out half the light just because of how they work. Miss Darko
It seems like an easy fix for the shutter style method would just be making that version of the film twice as bright. I wonder if they do do that or if they just let it be harder to see...
Raynos
Now we're on the subject, is there something as 3D porn? Anyone? Well, there was a softcore asian porn made in 3D, Available on 3d Blu-Ray. The hardcore stuff hasn't move over to 3d.. well, as far as I'm aware. Anyways, On Topic. Yeah sure OP, I wouldn't mind it but take into account that having 3D would require more grunt from our consoles. If GTA is already quite intensive then It might not work so well.. Hopefully Nvidia or Ati support it with GTA V. It's easier on pc.

europeanbob
3D itself doesn't add a whole heap of value imho. But the new headsets - that's a different story. There are a couple of devices out / coming out (like Oculus Rift) which are more or less "real time" in terms of their reaction to how you look around. That could be a very engaging experience indeed; the control system would be slightly funky to begin with perhaps, but it would kick up the immersion a notch... HOAXi
Action games like MP3, supernatural games and space games then yeah 3D is very nice, but for GTA? I can see walking in the foggy woods surrounding the mountains, hearing wolfs and branches cracking would be thrilling in 3D in V, but not much else. eclaireN7
No. I absolutely hate 3D. If it was an option, and was not required at any stage, and didn't interfere with ANY of the game, then maybe.
