carljor
Hello, Sorry, Ive looked through the forum and found only one answer that didnt really help me. Ive installed GTA IV & EFLC Real Car Mod Pack(http://gtgan.blogspot.ch/p/gta-iv-eflc-car-packs.html) And it works fine, except the part with Xlive. So I installed the 999b7, and now the game doesnt even try to launch when I use the GTAlaunch. What is the problem? Im ripping my hair of.. Thanks in advance. Carl Edit: When I remove the Xlive.dll it works(to the part with the autosave), and if i remove the dsound.dll it works aswell, but no textures. jpm1
don't know that pack but seems you are using both dssound and xliveless at the same time . you need to choose between the two asi loaders but you can't use both at the same time (i recommend xliveless) . if problem persists check if the pack is compatible with your game version , check if your xliveless version is compatible with your game version and try removing savegames if you start from one of these

Havent been in to modding since GTA VC. Ok, but when i went with just dssound, i couldnt get past the XLive, ie not save my game. How do i solve this? And with Xliveless my textures disapears, (roads, buildings disapearing) how do I fix that? Ive made sure everything is the right version for my game version, and theres no savegames, since I dont get past the autosave. Thanks for your help
mkey82
This section of the forum is not aimed at game modifications for a reason. I very much doubt xliveless is causing your textures not to load, it would be the world's first occurrence. This problem probably stems from the increased load on your system coming from the modified cars. Download this http://www.piriform.com/speccy and start the program. After it finishes collecting the data go to file > publish snapshot and paste the produced link here.
jpm1
I very much doubt xliveless is causing your textures not to load ... it may be , the texture bug is generally caused by traffic fixes which are loaded by xliveless . so carljor you should deactivate any traffic fix installed if you have one . if you don't know what i'm talking about please post the names of all the asi files you have in main GTA folder and the names of all the files in Scripts folder in main folder too

How do I play the game(becuase its working without it) and get further and beeing able to save my game? Like its promting me to sign in, to enable autosave, otherwise i wont be able to save at all. How do i get past that? Edit: Its GTA IV v 1.0.7.0 im using. (Im installing a fresh copy right now to start over) Mkey82 Heres the picture you requested Edited October 9, 2012 by carljor
jpm1
i suggest you to use xliveless , it's not that that makes games to bug . xliveless is very useful as it allows to bypass GFWL login which can become quite annoying with time . concerning the textures bug i would have let mkey answer but as it will save you time , i'll answer , integrated graphics aren't definitly enough for GTA , i suggest you to upgrade the GPU unless it's a laptop

So now i have installed the game again, and did installed the mod id like to use again. It works fine, except the part with Xlive so i cant save my games. So what should my next step be? Edit; now i installed xlive again, and the textures disapears(roads, houses). When i go in to settings, it says that my memory is exeeded, 202mb/59MB on my graphics card. mkey82
There are multiple problems here: 1. if you plan to save the game with GFWL, you need to update GFWL and that will force your game to be updated to the latest game version, namely patch 7 2. to save with GFWL, at the minimum you need to install the latest GFWL, start the game, hit the HOME button and create an offline profile to save the game 3. if you use xliveless, it will allow you to uninstall GFWL completely and use whichever version you want 4. if you have messed with mods and don't know which files you have changed/added, before reinstalling the game you need to make sure the installation folder is empty, as many mods will not be deleted when uninstalling the game 5. with many newer integrated GPU setups, the game is not being properly detected as a 3D application, so only the integrated graphics is being used. To counter this, you can a) go to the nvidia control panel, create a profile for GTAIV and force 3D mode performance there (I'm not an Nvidia user, so I really can't go into much detail here, but it should be fairly self evident what needs to be done) b) if above fails, you can use commandline switches to force higher settings, look for the norestrictions switch here http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=458859
jpm1
according to the site whatever game version cars pack is for , there's a traffic fix included , i think this is what causes you textures to disappear . you need to search your cars pack file for asi files or a scripts folder . then try to find anything that looks like traffic fix (traffic.asi , traffic.net ..) and deactivate (or remove) them
