Kray-Z Posted October 8, 2012 Share Posted October 8, 2012 hello gta lovers think i have to mention about gta IV the 3rd person camera view in GTA IV didnt feel the same as in III era when you were driving a vehicle It felt weird someone else feelin the same? it just wasnt in the center this really sucked, talking about the PS3 version dunno if it is the same on the pc version I cant really get used to it. makes me move the 2nd analog stick to center the camera i just hope that they change the view back like in the previous gta the view was its not a major issue i just used to play alot of gta sa online in the past and was used to Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

OT: On xbox it was also slightly to the side, which i found really annoying. I hope they at least include an option to have it the classic way. But while we are talking about cameras; I think that they should incorporate some kind of fps view. I love the 3rd person view, and I know that 3rd person pretty much makes this game what it is...But IMO, they should add some kind of mission of something that has to be played in 1st person like in an fps. Perhaps they could bring back rampages, and then have the camera switch to fps-view once you start a rampage. I understand that this game is not a shooter, and frankly, I think it would be idiocy to try to turn gta into a first person game. But I think adding some little fps moments could be cool on a few levels. It would be an interesting change, it would be a way of poking fun at the emergence of fps's dominating the marketplace, and it would give the gta forumers something else to argue about going forward....It's a win-win-win.. In certain cutscenes and at certain angles the camera would go through a car, a dude's head, etc. Anyway, they did an in-car view for the taxis, why not have a dashboard cam? Chazzer3 Posted October 8, 2012 Share Posted October 8, 2012 I liked the driving camera in IV, but to be honest, 99% of the time I was moving the right analog stick to keep the view on what I wanted, (which typically meant a bit higher, i.e. right analog stick down), so I guess maybe I'd like it a bit higher?! I enjoyed driving in first person from time to time as a change....and I am NOT a fan of first person views for the most part. I wouldn't want to be forced to play first person either but as an option, it is fun to play with. If you don't like it, then don't push that specific button, easy peasy. In GTA IV there was also Hood View which is the closest we got to First Person View on the Vehicles, in older era GTA games there was an actual camera view from the headlights of the car, which could also be described as First Person View from the Vehicles perspective. Anyway, I know what you're saying OP. I hate the 'side-view' on GTA IV. Plus I wish there was a view which is slightly elevated over the car, when driving I'm constantly holding the right stick up to look over the car! It's done very well so far and I don't think they want to risk changing the basics up. I wouldn't play in first person anyway, just my preference. So, you're wrong about them never having made a first person game. Also, how do you know that they will NEVER make a first person game? What are you a psychic or something?
