Do you THINK that the 2nd trailer will include...

So, the 2nd trailer is obvious to be here within a month (reason below), and we are on a level now in which the release is fairly close for it to be revealed, even if it's 2013. Do you think that the 2nd trailer will include the release date? Especially as a last shot, as usual, because ppl are mindblowed from the trailer and then a release date is perfect as a final strong statement.

 

(Reason: when the first 2 A&A article screens were released, Rockstar said: "we'll try and get some more screens for you soon and then another trailer when we are ready". It's safe to assume that the "some more screens" are the 10 we got later, and now we're waiting for they to "be ready" to release the 2nd trailer, which 8 weeks ago was declared to be here "in a few weeks or so)

I voted month but I changed my mind to exact date. They might be holding back a second trailer because they want to reveal the dateim it and they aren't sure about the release date yet.

Don't care much for the release date. I know for sure that it will be in the early Spring of 2013. The 2nd trailer might as well give a release date, unless they do indeed plan on giving us a third trailer.

I doubt an exact date, and i also doubt a release date at all. But if R* aren't COMPLETE idiots, it will probably have a season or something. ( IE. "coming spring 2013" )

I don't expect the second trailer before mid 2013.Based on R* silence i think the came will be either a late 2013 or early 2014 release.

 

Either way i won't be sad cos i am already disappointed to the deepest level.The first trailer give me a false hope of late 2012 release.Let us hope second trailer won't be the same.

25th October: Announce GTA V

2nd November: Release trailer

3rd November: Post article on newswire confirming full development on GTA V

 

It could look something like this:

 

23rd October: Announce trailer 2 with countdown

31st October/1st November: Release trailer 2

1st/2nd November: Post article on newswire confirming release date/platforms of GTA V

The second trailer will be the start of heavy GTA V marketing and Rockstar will not release another trailer until they are ready to begin heavy marketing. One of the things that needs to be established quickly with heavy marketing is a release date. True Rockstar could announce it via the newswire but they would need to do it rather quick or risk losing hype. A lot of people have no clue the news-wire even exists and if you are going to announce the release date, about the same time as you release the trailer why not put it in the trailer and be done with it?

 

The first trailer was not so much about marketing GTA V, as it was to announce the game and at the same time give us some basic info (going to be in Los Santos, possible storyline) show/hint at new features (animals, blimps, etc) and also show/hint at returning things (flyable planes, countryside, etc) If they wanted to just to show new features, that could be easily done by releasing a few screen-shots which are much easier to do than put a video together. Also there is no need to use a trailer just to remind everyone that GTA V is coming. Again it is easier to release a few screen-shots to remind people. A launch date though would be the perfect end to the next trailer.

 

As to when we will get the trailer I think it will be sometime this month. If GTA V is coming out in March which is very likely Rockstar can do a lot of marketing this fall by simply having those pre-order boxes sitting on store shelves when people go t o pick up other huge titles.

No. They are taking so long to show us stuff from this game. They'll release trailer 2 within a month and then announce the release date in 2013.

My thoughts exactly. It really makes no sense to have two trailers for he game without any word on the estimated release date/window.

 

This might also be the reason, why we had to wait for the trailer. I’m sure, R* could have easily made a second trailer showing us more…well…things.

But they just want to make sure to show a date, that is 100% correct.

Since R* got so much hated because they delayed GTA IV, They kept the release date of the new games until the game was 99,9% finished.

 

BUT, if GTA V is almost ready, and they are going to release it soon after the second trailer. It's can be possible that they will hide the release date in the trailer.
