Elyobo893
I was playing IV yesterday and while I was having an on-foot chase with the cops, I wished that I had "Jailbreak" playing. This got me thinking. Could the protag have an MP3 player on their phone to play radio music out side of vehicles? Remember: BOLD NEW DIRECTION! Opinions welcome! wwinterj
Kinda pointless when you can do that anyway. With that said I suppose it's better for immersion purposes.

GrandMaster Smith
I don't get why they haven't added the option of mp3 players yet.. Just simply have a smart phone that has access to the radio and problem solved. I would really enjoy being able to listen to the radio while walking around and sightseeing. Eagle-Eye
The MP3 Player songs should be DIFFERENT from the Car Radio songs. So Cars can have a musical purpose too
neo92boi
If I do recall this feature was actually meant to be in GTA IV but was taken out at the very last minute. I read it somewhere on the net. You would be able to walk and listen to your own music, it was meant to promote on foot exploration. Sadly I could unserstand why since it incredibly hard to program in game BGM on PS3 and on foot travel In IV was about as fun as watching paint dry. GhostFase64
The MP3 Player songs should be DIFFERENT from the Car Radio songs. So Cars can have a musical purpose too NO, Idiot. They should put the Radio Stations in the car as well as on the MP3 Player, and perhaps give the MP3 some exclusive tracks. Having an accessible radio on a handheld device does not remove the purpose of having it in a car. You know...There's that things that cars can do that phones can't...Hmmm...What was it?...Oh yeah...DRIVE.
thestoneman420
It makes sense to use the phone feature as a MP3 player of sorts. Have it accessible to the radio plus have a handful of exclusive stations or something like that.
Ash_735
since it incredibly hard to program in game BGM on PS3 It's really not, it's just that it's something extra Devs have to code in, Microsoft have patented the default auto method that makes it work on all games, so the only way around that for Sony was to offer it as an extra that's left up to the developers. RDR had it, was pretty cool roaming the land listening to Electrochoc.

I heard they took it out after having it in and didn't want it in the game because the developers wanted players to hear the sound of the city while they are on foot and music while they are driving. Also I read there was a music store where you'd be able to buy music.

Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak Would have been awesome listening to LCHC while going on a rampage. Definetly a must + music from HDD on PS3.

TheRedBull
I loved it in SR1 and I would love to see it in GTA:V. You should be able to buy all the songs they play on the radio stations for a dollar each.
TenEightyOne
I play max payne 3, does that make me an MP3 player? And we have a winner! If they put a play-your-own music function in then I hope it's better than Independence FM in GTAIV, that seriously blew! At least on PS3/XBox you could run your own playlists even if you can't control them in-game.
