r0eladn
Until we've simulated the world outside, we're not going to stop. Kyle Reese: Listen, and understand. That R* is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until it simulated the world outside. PacketOverload_x64bit
If they keep screwing with their fans like making a trailer that looks almost final then not saying sh*t for a year then yeah, maybe it's time for GTA to sh*t the f*cking bed and be the last GTA for sure. Game2048
I believe that it will not be the last. So what the sense in all this and why you needed to create this thread? Answer: stupidity and ignorance
AuSsIeThUnDeR36
GTA V will be the last gta for this gen console. Rockstar would be shooting themselves in the foot if they don't make VIce City

Arran B
Bollocks will V be the last, as someone already stated, Vice City is still waiting to be done. hate to get ahead of myself and GTA V, but does anyone reckon GTA VI might be set in the 80s again? I think the only thing they can do worse than making VI in the 80s is making it for the future.
1way2kill3people4good
If i'm wrong please correct me, but I asked do you think it will be the last, NOT "what do you think of my username, topic, and age?"

Miss Darko
If i'm wrong please correct me, but I asked do you think it will be the last, NOT "what do you think of my username, topic, and age?" Maybe if you had provided reasonable and valid reasons of your own to start off your topic instead of making pretty much no point at all, you'd be taken more seriously. But not much more. Because there is no valid reason why R* would stop making GTA games. Unless you mean that GTA V is the last of this generation, then sure, I think that's pretty much a given. But the last of all GTA games? Anyone who thinks that most likely does not have any concrete evidence backing that up, and is just taking the piss. On the other side, however, financial gain from one of the most successful series of all time aside, we have the quote, provided earlier by our friend MIKON8ERISBACK: Until we've simulated the world outside, we're not going to stop. They could change their mind at any time, but the point is that there is no evidence available to the general public that GTA is ending with this game. Boom. I discussed this thread seriously, and incidentally removed any need for further discussion. Edited October 7, 2012 by Mr. Darko

Mainland Marauder
Let's try to legitimize this topic some. I'm posting this because this idea has crossed my mind a couple times while playing through. Just some food for thought here... -A story centering mainly on two aging criminals going for one last big score. Symbolism for the series? -R* did away for the most part with the "reluctant anti-hero" storyline. In fact, V pretty much pulls that trend (think CJ, Niko) right back in the other direction and hits you in the nuts with it. Trevor almost seems like a manifestation of what a GTA protagonist would be like if he behaved in the storyline more or less the way that character typically behaves in freeroam, killing for sport etc. Honestly I was expecting V to be a toned down experience after all the recent high-profile mass shootings, but this is probably the most depraved game R* has made since the first Manhunt, and arguably exceeds it. GTA V in its current form probably would have been rated AO nine years ago when San Andreas came out. Could it be that R* went for broke this time because it's the last time? -There are some intense missions and they are certainly more challenging than much of IV, but for the most part they still follow the same formula that's been the norm for the series. Chase this guy down, kill him, run from the cops. It's a legitimate question as to how much this can be repeated. Anyway, I'm not saying this is the way it is. I like GTA V quite a bit. If this is the last one, it went out strong. "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be."
