One screenshot a week?

I got the idea from user PaddsterG2k3 so all credit goes to him.

 

Rockstar released 10 screenshots in one week about a month ago. While that week was the most exciting this forum has been in quite some time we are now back to the waiting game. So would you rather have had those screenshots given to use one at a time separated weekly. This way while we wait for trailer two, a GI cover, or whatever comes in "a few weeks or so" we will at least have something to chew on every week.

 

I would have wanted this for sure. Weekly disappointment takes its toll and I feel it would have felt better to have a steady flow of info rather than an overwhelming feeling followed by more waiting.

Exactly. Tbh, if Rockstar gave us a three month countdown to Trailer 2 I'd be satisfied at the moment.

 

Its just that time has ran out and we are anxiously waiting the marketing campaign to begin. As Rockstar are so unpredictable its hard to gauge when that will be.

 

Something is better than nothing, to tide us over. Its a small request and its something they should really do, imo.

Didn't realise this was my idea - thanks for the acknowledge deffpony! I must have forgotten amongst my many rants that I seem to be having on here at the mo.

 

Yeah I'm amazed how close it is - SURELY inis a case of (while we wait for substantial info):

First of all soldier, thats the dumbest analogy I have ever heard.

 

Second we are talking about screenshots, not a trailer. Its not like the screens are gonna tell us THAT much

 

Lastly, you would rather get all the screens at once an go 10 weeks without any information, not knowing when the info was coming, dwelling over the release date, what platform its on, and when trailer two is arriving then get a screenshot a week for 10 weeks.

 

It just doesnt make sense to me.

Yes. It would have made the wait easier. You'd have something to look forward to every week. There wouldn't be any long wait with no idea when you're going to get something else.

The way I see it, is that with one screenshot per week, the general population will discuss the screen for a week, then, at the end of the week, when discussion has simmered, a new pic is released to discuss for another week. When we got the 10 shots, we discussed them ALL for a total of maybe 2 weeks, tops. It would've kept people deciphering each pic for a while, keeping their minds away from "trailer" or "release date." It would've given Rockstar 10 weeks of comments saying "love the new pic" than 2 weeks of "love the new pics" and 8 weeks of "moar pics!"

Absolutely, giving something GTAV related to fans rather regularly would keep everybody interested in the game and people talking about it. I sure would look forward to a weekly GTA goodie.
