What do you think? I like customization, especially with the pro-tag.

something like saints row 2 customization inlove.gif it was perfect IMO

What type of customisation? Protag or car or what. If its protag customisation then a tiny bit less then San An, but if we're talking cars, Only a tiny, small bit.

Over-all.

I Shot The Sheriff

I chose "lots like in San Andreas", but my real opinion is more than San Andreas, since it didn't have lots IMHO.

In single-player I want a lot of clothes customization, car customization, along the same lines as San Andreas.

In multi-player I want weapon customization out the ass, think Max Payne 3. Also the customization options in GTAIV were severely lacking, and the grind to earn billions of dollars of cash to get another tier of clothes I didn't want... sucked. I would like to see it so that every pedestrian in the game? You can choose that as an Avatar online, like The Warriors had, but also where you can change their clothes perhaps...

I however don't care much for car customization in multi-player, unless it's your crew ride, say if they give us an opportunity to choose a "gang vehicle", like how in GTAIII the Italian guys always had that Sentinel, in Vice City the Cubans had the Hermes and the Hatians had the Voodoo... That would be pretty cool, but unlikely.

Saints Row 2 had good Customization, 3 as well for the most part but they're mainly about scamming you into buying their DLC to unlock the whole game, which sucks, so steer clear of that nonsense. DLC should be handled the way it was in GTAIV and Red Dead Redemption, when you purchase something, you get like an entirely new game effectively. The Lost and the Damned sticks out as my favorite part of GTAIV, and felt it was worth the purchase, shame no one played that on multi... >.> The Ballad of Gay Tony had helicopters with rockets though, and every mofo had to have one of those...

I have high hopes for a deep level of customization for GTAV after GTAIV left us wanting. ^.^

I'm all for some customization. I'd like player and weapon customization. I'm also okay with vehicle cust. but I won't use it.

I'd love it to be like Saints Row 1 or San Andreas, anything more than that I don't know.. I'd probably not use it to the fullest if that was to happen. Any less I also wouldn't mind unless it was extremely noticeable that there's barely any kind of customization.

I want lots but at the same time I don't want too much to the point where special models of cars or special outfits won't matter anymore because you could just make them. I'd also like some totally new customization never before seen in GTA, like perhaps furniture?

I've chosen "A bit, but don't over-do it".

Some customization is always nice, but in my opinion GTA SA had "a little too much of it", especially with the variety of clothes.

There's no need of such a huge amount of clothes...

I want ALOT of customizations. Anything that I feel is unnecessary I just won't use. But poking and choosing from a list of options is better than not having enough options

Why are so many voting for the rainbow option? I don't want any Saints Row crap in a GTA.

Because that means it's more than SA had.

For single-player, clothing should be like it was on SA, a variety of stores etc. Car customization same as MP.

For Mutliplayer, the car customization should be like MCLA. Anything less would suck. And it's a car game, so it'd make sense to have proper car customization, not SA's sh*tty customization for cars.

Also, for the crews, a leader needs to feel more like a leader. Customizing their own gang.

When someone joins a crew, they are given access to the gang's "wardrobe" where clothes chose by the Leader are there.

example

If I put a pair of combat trousers and a tank top in the wardrobe, the gang members could choose from these.

And for vehicles, the leader could spend money making vehicles for the gang. And the members can take any vehicle out when they wish.

Locks should also be implemented. As a leader I should be able to choose my members ranks, and set the rank needed to drive a certain car.

example

If I bought an Infernus and set it to, say, Rank 4 only, only those I have selected (higher than rank 4) can take the car.

Your confusing quantity with quality as did the op

I don't think any of us want rockstar to include super hero costumes and giant dildos. What most of us do want is alot of customization features.

Clothing

Weapons

Cars

Houses

Businesses

Jewelry

Cell phone

While SR had all these features, they implemented them in an over the top manner. I don't want a luchador mask wearing naked man who drives a hurst with spinners and a boner painted on the hood.

But a bald guy with a long ZZ top beard wearing big chains over his leather suit driving a flat black murdered out muscle car would be nice.

Jewelry? The protag is almost certainly male. Not sure i can picture the ned luke looking guy walking down the street wearing necklaces an earrings.

Also, kudos on that last part. icon14.gif

As long as we have variety, I'm good. I don't see how having a lot of options is bad. I mean not like SR3 garbage with mascot costumes, but just a wide variety of clothes and such. That way everyone is happy and everyone's taste can be met.

Definitely need better haircuts. Especially better tattoos (I'm a tattoo lover). Basically just expand on SA. Don't bring any of that over the top bullshlt in though.

Interesting one this.

I THINK, although I can't prove it, that Rockstar will return some of the things from the III era, particularly after seeing the minor backlash towards IV's more serious approach.

Customization is one of them. How far Rockstar will go it cannot be said. Car and weapon customization would be good, as well a a greater variety of clothing.

Haircuts is a strong possibility - was going to be in IV, I believe.

I'm pretty sure the ned luke looking guy hasn't been confirmed as the protag. Even if he is, it's up to the other players to decide what to wear (Not just what YOU think). Could you picture CJ wearing cowboy boots? exactly.

superhobo666

minor customisation of the character

shirt

pants

shoes

hat

glasses

jewelery/accessories

full suits.(IE: high price tux/watch/accessory combo)

maybe haircut

more indepth customisation for vehicles.

Multiple performance tier upgrades (up to say, double/tripple original performance.

suspension mods, Lift kits and drops/hydraulics.

body kits, multiple for each vehicle.

OR

Front bumper

Rear Bumper

Side Skirt

Hood

spoiler

all of those having 2-4 custom parts per car, plus the stock body parts.

custom rims (lol Rimjob brand rims)

paint. all the stock colours, plus 1 or more special paint schemes for each vehicle.

different mod schemes for vehicle types (trucks have DUB/Offroad specs, little asian cars have rice kits, etc.)

have the option to unlock usage of other mod schemes/types for different vehicle types. IE: Blista compact with an offroad kit.

house customisation

one or two ugrade tiers for houses. Looks and furniture. ups the value of the house (for a cost, of curse) you can then sell the houses for more than the original sell value, or you can rent it for higher profit for renting.

upgrades for businesses.

one or two upgrades which gain you higher profits, and/or higher resale value (though, not as good as purchase cost plus upgrade cost)

Hair should definitely be customizable. Why the hell would you wanna see the protag with same boring haircut the entire game?

All the other characters have the same hair the entire game. You wan't to chose when they change their hair too?

I don't wan't to be able to change the hair, because R* made the character to fit a certain story. Not sure IV would have had the same impact on me had niko sported a pink mohawk.

Yeah, you have a point. I mean more like minor changes, nothing drastic. Anyways, it would be nice to have the option tounge.gif.
