rare.steak
Sam Houser said this: “We'll think of a city first, then the characters” (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/dan-houser-talks-gta-v/010628) Is it possible R* got a bit overexcited and was very happy how the city/map turned out so they decided to show us the city, and hadden't really started on the storyline last year, when they showed us the 1 trailer? Maybe that's why we haven't got any infomation about the storyline or protagonist.. What do you think? I think you must be pretty idiotic if you believe R* would complete designing the map and city of the game before even given consideration to the storyline, when they probably pre-planned everything before actually going into programming and designing anything. nixion
I think they come up with the premise of the story as well as location and how they work together, build the city and then tighten the story together with the nearly completed city. I was thinking this too, but then having a heist previewed during the 1st trailer and in that amount of detail (Bug Inspector/ Jewelry Heist) seems to me that story has been written and mission ideas are being worked on since the trailers debut. nearly a year later im sure a lot of that is completed by now. Anyways, i have no f*cking idea how they work anymore, and its stressful trying to think of it. the only 2 other things at this point that have been running through my mind is that Character development is being held from us for a reason, think of it as the John Marston approach. Marston characstics were slowly revealed to us as the story progressed, such that to any other rockstar character created. we didn't really know that much about him and maybe rockstar are taking it to the next level of really trying to keep this character/characters and his/thier background secret. They might be aiming for a very mysterious protagonist who we dont even know what hes up to or goal is until the story progresses. The other thought i have is maybe some leaked info was correct, characters were leaked and rockstar doesn't want to reveal their names now and seem unprofessional. either way, one of these has to be correct. surely they have enough info to release the character premise and are choosing not to.
