Blingstar
I played GTA4 when it was new, and bought the EFLC during the last steamsale which also included GTA4. So I played through GTA4 again before starting EFLC. I can sign in to Steam, Rockstar Social Club and GFWL just fine and play GTA4 (some occasional stuttering, but that not too bad) EFLC on the other hand, will not start. I see the images of the characters while the game loads, which just loop, and I have to ctrl-alt-delete to kill the process. EFLC just hangs. No errors, no crashes, no popups, firewall and anti-virus are not interfering with it. Both Lost & Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony do that. (I tried running them from the selection screen in GTA4, but that just activates the GFWL popup wherever I click) Any suggestions on how to fix it? mkey82
Well, the only thing that comes to mind are the settings files. It's a rather stupid issue, but on some game version combinations, EFLC picks up on the GTAIV settings files (or it's the other way around) so one game can crash because of that. This should be valid for steam version of the game as it should be updated, but it's worth giving it a try. Basically, delete the game settings and try again. Even though just deleting the files in the setting folder didn't solve the issue, it led me to try something else. I already tried a regular re-install but that didn't work. Uninstalled GTA4 and EFLC, deleted the Rockstar folder from the appdata, and then reinstalled EFLC. Now it works.
