Rockford
I’m in the process of finishing LCS and VCS. I’m also planning to start playing Vice City again on the 28th of this month for the tenth anniversary. I want to get used to the GTA3 era graphics so that V will be that much better. THEMANatwar
Working on GTA IV currently at 98% and only Car Thefts left to do. Then I'm going to play TLAD and then TBoGT.
Mig10
i tried Vice City last week and i found it incredibly lame and boring Give it another shot, it can indeed seem strange at the beginning.
saintsrow
I was playing GTA IV + the Episodes and completing both games all over again throughout most of last year. I played Red Dead Redemption last year too, although it was mostly exploring the landscape, environments, hunting and messing around. Now, I am not currently playing any of them. I might have another spin on IV again though, but I have a few other games to get through first. My two favourite GTA games are Vice City and San Andreas, I love those games. But after playing IV, I don't think I can get into playing any of the GTA III-era games like VC or SA right now, as they would just feel too technologically outdated, simple and stale. I'm now too used to the HD visuals and current-gen console tech to feel like playing them. Not forgetting that they would also feel too easy to play. I think it will be a long, good while before I might one day feel very nostalgic for the III-era and pick up those games to play for old time's sake. Yes, same thing, but still playing TGOBT for the cityscape and modern times, replaying missions and rampaging. To keep me pumped for V. Playing RDR for the beautiful countryside and weather and scenics, replaying missions and playing Jack Marston as a bad guy in order to generate some lawman heat for fun. To keep me pumped for V. But in RDR I hate duelling and I hate to lose, so when some @sshole challenges me to a duel, I just shoot him point blank; usually generates some action. And I just love chasing down eyewitnesses I could probably get hooked on VC and SA again, but as you say, I am hooked on HD now.
DroidX
Just got me a Ps2 and started playing Gta Sa Again. This kind of reminds me that I never finished TBOGT, Better get Started on that as well!
Verdant
Yeah sometimes. I stuff about on GTA TBOGT and try to land some ridiculous stunts that just end up in embarrassing moments. I got Duke Nukem: Forever, so I'm playing through that at the moment. A week before V releases I am definitely going to have a GTA Series marathon. Dick Justice
I'm replaying San Andreas at the moment. It's funny how clouded nostalgia makes things. This game truly isn't as good as everyone makes it out to be. It's fun, but it isn't the be-all-end-all of the series like some believe.
splinter100
I've just downloaded the lot from steam for £20, includes 1&2, III, Vice City ,SA, IV (Liberty city stories - which i haven't played before) and yet i'm gonna start off with San Andreas. Just looking for some decent texture mods if anone knows the best one then lemme know. I always though Liberty City Stories was DLC, but steam bundles IV on its own, along with LCS which says you don't need IV cos it runs standalone so was a bit confused as the whole bundle was £20, and LCS was £20 on its own, so a bit of a bargain. Sorry that was a bit OT
Ryanbashaw
I've beaten all gta's except gta III, it was so hard and you die so fast and all the damn time limited missions make me angry!!!
junkpile
f*ck no this. As far as open world action adventures go, i'm pleased with Sleeping Dogs and Assassin's Creed Revelations at the moment. MP3 fpr online matches. I'm not hating on GTA, but I had too much of it. Even platinized IV multiple times...
AtomicPunk
I don't ever wanna see IV, or any of it's DLC ever again. I was bored with IV 6 months after. These games came out pretty boring to me and I hope V puts the fun back in. I am gonna do III, Vice City, and San An again a few weeks before V releases, just to get back into the swing of things. 'Til then, it'll be FarCry3 for me.

Official General
GTA IV and it's DLC's are miles better than that overrated piece of sh*t called San Andreas . Says you, not most others. I can bet you that most people on here still prefer San Andreas over GTA IV anyday. @ man dragon San Andreas was brilliant for its time, most people here agree on that. You probably feel that way, because now you are used to the HD-style and technology of GTA IV. Of course SA will not appear to that great to you anymore, it would feel very dated to anyone playing it now. That goes for Vice City and GTA III too. No, i didn't because most people are blinded by nostalgia and fanboyism , sometimes i think only Miamivicecity and a few others here know what i'm talking about . Also once V comes out nobody will touch this game anymore unless for extreme nostalgia, if even that . If i want to play games for nostalgia i would play III and VC because they are better than SA especially VC, it's timeless . Edit : @man dragon Amen brother, that's exactly what i think too . Vice City is actually my favorite GTA game of them all. San Andreas comes in at a close second. But there is no way in hell that San Andreas was overrated or a "piece of sh*t" like you labelled it. No way. SA was a brilliant masterpiece, a classic work of art in the world of gaming. I just don't think GTA IV can compare to it, SA just had much more on offer and relative to the time periods both games came out within, I'd say SA was the better game. But GTA IV still was very good in it's own way, just falling short of reaching that level of significant excellence that VC and SA achieved. TheGodDamnMaster
I just be SA yesterday, but it feels... empty. Like I don't feel compelled to do anything after the story was over. It was just so good, and the side content pales in comparison to the epicness of the adventure. Vice city is easier to 100% IMO Why do people bother. Most of the 100% objectives are tedious and trick you into believing you're having fun as you complete them. Then when you finally do get 100%, you get disappointed when you find out that the rewards are things you can access with cheats. This badly needs to be addressed in V: Rewards that are impossible to get with cheats or hacks. HeNDo6750
No, haven't been playing GTA since August of this year. And my interest in R* has gone down hill very quickly. I'm waiting until the end of this month, and if yet again nothing has been said, then I will not buy GTA V until I can be bothered to buy the game, which could be in a few weeks after release, or maybe a few months after release, or maybe a year. Raynos
Why do people bother. Well... quite a few reasons. Some games have 100% objectives that are actually fun to do, example, Sleeping Dogs. Sleeping Dogs was a fun game to 100%, It never felt tedious... wait.. I lie, the only time i was getting annoyed was when trying to win $1M via gambling.. but apart from that, it was a very fun 100%'er Vice City wasn't actually that bad to 100%.. The packages were probably the most "tedious" parts however, I liked exploring the whole map, so finding these drug packages was actually quite fun. So, for reason number 1 - It can be quite a lot of a fun! 2nd Reason, well, I liked the reward that you unlocked at the end of Vice City, that was awesome, having bodyguards and a f*cking T-shirt that said 100%, I didn't know that you could get these via Cheats.. but really, whats the point? Cheating through a game isn't fun for me unless the cheat = crazy peds, zombies or something bonkers. Thus, the sense of "achievement", it's like getting a "trophy", you could ask yourself, Why do athletes train so damn hard to win a Gold medal at the Olympics? Well, the money and that sense of "achievement". 3rd and Final reason. Trophies and Achievements. Conclusion, Well, some of us like to milk the sh*t out of the game that we spent our hard earned money on. You wouldn't see me getting excited over COD, an 8 hour campaign is hardly worth the ridiculous price they charge for it. Boring Multilayer etc., just not worth it.. However, I don't like games like Fallout, Mass Effect etc, RPG just isn't my element. We are all searching for something.. why is it so hard for you to believe that some people prefer to rape the sh*t out of their games without taking the easy way out (cheats).
