Tbh, I visit this site daily, but not purely for the fact that I'm waiting for R* to drop the release date on us. I enjoy, the posts, the sarcasm, the desperation. This thread did however get me thinking just where GTA V is prioritized in my wishlist. Now there was a time when any GTA game would have topped my list, but for the first time since I fell in love with GTAIII, it no longer occupies top spot.

 

If somebody put GTA V, Fallout 4, or the next Red Dead game in front of me, the new Red Dead game would be the first to go into the console, followed by Fallout 4. This revelation has even surprised me. For me, R* are going to have to really pull a rabbit out of the hat as far as GTA is concerned. I'm hoping they do!

Right now it's a 10, but it fluctuates, I've been a Rockstar Games fan since before they were Rockstar Games (DMA Design), when I didn't see any stocking information for stores released a few months ago I kind of trailed down to 2, big chain game stores like to be warned in advance before a big game like V hits, so they can get promotional items like big posters, stand ups, display units etc., when they didn't get any heads up, pretty much meant the game wasn't going to be in time for the holiday season.

 

But, R* have complained about releasing TOO MUCH hype in the past, showing gamers ever car, bike, and pontoon plane before they got a chance to discover it, so I'm still a little hopeful that they're sticking to the "loose lips sink ships" ethic and one day I'll wake up to a loud pounding on the door with someone screaming "GET IN THE VAN, NO TIME TO EXPLAIN!" so we can go get our copies of GTAV. >.>

 

I went three weeks without checking info after that, then found out they released screenshots, so now I'm back on the daily grind looking for and being bummed there's no new info, but plenty of new "OMFG why does Rockstar Games hate me personally, why must they insult my mother, why did they put my dog in the microwave? Why did they drown my little brother in the lake when we were swimming in the 1980s?" and so on and so forth. >.> That's the reason why I'm here these days, to read depressing stories about why and how someone believes a huge multinational corporation is targeting them for exclusion.

I am at 7, and I highly doubt it will go above that. I really dislike the setting of Los Angeles, but I'm sure Rockstar will still make me fairly interested in it. Also, it seems much less 'dark' than GTA IV did, which I see as a bad thing. GTA IV really showed the 'darkness' of the situation, with quite a few comical moments in there. With GTA V, it looks much more like it is all comical moments, with very little 'darkness'.

In my book being hyped is not the same thing as being interested. To me being hyped means being excited and enthused about GTA:V. I can understand that after these many months, people are bored by the lack of information and materials from Rockstar, and therefore they are not presently excited (or hyped) about GTA:V.

 

But that isn't the question that has been asked though, is it? The question asked is if you are interested. And I'd have to say that for most people, you're here BECAUSE you're interested in GTA:V. Because that is what this forum section is about. It's not even about being here to socialise, because any off topic threads get killed faster than you can say 'Ryan.' So you can only post in here IF you discuss GTA:V. And if you keep discussing GTA:V, you are therefore BY DEFINITION interested in it.

 

That's what I think anyway. YMMV.

Right now probably 9, I've never ever been so hyped for a game this much before. GTA 4 was large but this is even larger and all will realize that after we get trailer 2, I'm pretty sure that will blow the roof off this place. Stay positive

It should be obvious. If you are not a 10 or higher, then what the hell are you doing here? R* is the only developer outside of maybe Kojima and a few others that are making games that I actually want to spend my money on. EA, Activision, Ubisoft are killing their developers and the industry and they all need to pay the price for their stupidity.

Granted I'm not surprised if people aren't as enthusiastic as I am. I just fail to see the point in posting here. It's usually why I join MBs. If people aren't that enthusiastic because of R*'s silence then they need to get some damn patience.

Myself I am a 5 though. Check a few times a week. Would say that's pretty well done by R* seeing to that they haven't released any info for a few months and nothing big for almost a year.
