Ferocious Banger
After years of playing GTA:SA and its equally great predecessors, in the April of '08, we were presented with the latest iteration in the legendary franchise by Rockstar Games. In it, we were promised with a living, breathing city amongst a host of other bold, new things. Well, the promise did come true in a sense. Rockstar did make me and my fellow GTA-ites ' feel' like as if we were roaming around in a 'real city'. It still does, but only to an extent, thanks to the arrival of Sleeping Dogs, reviously named as True Crime: Hong Kong The game that I just mentioned was picked up by me with the least amount of expectations humanly possibly! But, a few missions into the game, I was blown away by how the city ' lived and breathed '. The nightmarket is the best example for it. A few weird glitches aside, the city really did ' live and breathe '. ( I'm in no way belittling the 4+ year old game that GTA IV is as I still consider it to be one of the greatest games ever to have been made! ) Having seen what Rockstar could do with a console with which they had a very little amount of experience to begin with with GTA IV and what a relatively new company (United Front Games) could do with an open world game in 2012, it is only logical to expect that the upcoming GTA will boasty of a game-world that has a host of inhabitants that ' live and breathe' like never before! Guest
Night Market only looked "living and breathing" because they had several ambient sounds (which IV missed as far as I know) and it was tightly packed which made it look like it was more populated. Nothing special, really. V will do much better.
