Carbine23 Posted October 3, 2012 Share Posted October 3, 2012 Before i get flamed the last topic on him was from last year so i thought it wasn't worth bumping. So i think Kid Cudi is one of the best rappers out there right now compared to all the garage in the mainstream. His first two man on the moon albums were incredible. I loved them because they were different from other rap albums and sort of reminded me of Pink Floyd "The Wall" because the albums kinda told a story. Then he released a new project album called WZRD which was actually terrible. I understand he was trying something new but i did not like it one bit. Maybe 2 or 3 songs but that's it. So he's releasing a new album named Indicud and so far he's released 2 songs and they sound closer to his old roots which is a good thing. But is Indicud the "Man on the Moon 3" or is it a separate album? i kind of want him to do another type of man on the moon 3 album where the album tells a story or journey. Wolfwood Posted October 16, 2012 Share Posted October 16, 2012 Sadly, WZRD let him down a lot - I liekd his idea, but it all felt rushed. 'Love Hard' had a cracking ending, but a terrible chorus and the intro was just, childlike. The short-film Maniac sure makes up for it tho. I wasn't completely satisfied with Man On The Moon II - the album was solid gold, but didn't unfortunately suit my taste except for a few brilliant tracks, at least in comparison to his earlier works. Indicud is shaping up to be a great album, Just What I Am and King Wizard are great songs. It's just unfortunate Jaden Smith will be featuring on one of the tracks... But there are some actual belters on that album, and he has some brilliant word play in a few tracks. It did feel a little bit lazy, like he didn't put his all in it - perhaps trying to go for a different style whilst also kick off some acting career with How to Make it in America (which was actually alright...).
