PowerKracker
Looks pretty fantastic! Any other modern LV buildings in the plans? Also, if this is supposed to be like the supposed IV era version of Las Venturas, will you replace some SA stuff like brands with the IV equivalents? nkjellman
In a nutshell, yes. Ok then. I'd recommend though using IV and EFLC cars so it stays in the IV era. You could even try modeling one of GTA V's cars. But like I said with EFTW, if Rockstar shows us the IV era LV, you probably might drop this, but I'd change it to Las Vegas. However, are the SA LV models place holders?

However, are the SA LV models place holders? That was potentially one of the reasons i did this, LV wasn't promised and i start to think Rockstar will want to get the most detail out of Cali instead of spoofs of more rubbish areas as was in old SA, which will result in no Las Venturas in V. Same opinion i have for San Fierro. - SA LV models will remain where they are, they will just be remodelled and when props get added , there will be more "atmosphere" to the whole Venturas Boulevard area. nkjellman
Ever thought of the possibility that LV and SF could be separate maps as DLC's for GTA V? Anyways, GTA Random, you should increase the draw distance so you can see mountains in the background like in the real LV.
Garju67
But like I said with EFTW, if Rockstar shows us the IV era LV, you probably might drop this, but I'd change it to Las Vegas. Even IF R* will make a LV again, it won't be before the next gta, which is not sooner than 2016. Are you R*? You always say things like that that are unconfirmed. Off topic:I know I probably sound stupid now but have you ever thought of the possibility of LV being GTAV for almost 12 months now I have believed GTA V will only have Los Santos as R* said but then I came across this thread http://www.forum.gta5videos.com/index.php?....699/#post-4774 which actually make some pretty good points and Dan Houser would not say it is only LS ( ) and if you look at the second picture on the thread it does not look like LS it looks like just outside LV. How ever the trailer seems based a lot around rich people and poor people which fits with LS but not the rest personally I have no idea where GTA V is set but just i case. Back on topic again i think the draw distance need increasing.

GTAIV to GTAV: 5(.5) years. GTA6, sooner than 3 years? Makes no sense. And complete cities as DLC is insane. @Mainline421. The 3 major individual cities in SA were actually not that big. R* probably made a LS the size of LC, and then probably a huge country side, exceeding the 6000x6000 limit from SA and IV. GTA 3 to GTA VC : 1 year GTA VC to GTA SA : 2 years GTA LCS to GTA VCS : 1 year Don't forget these ones please.
Kalvin
Yes but they did a low-poly city. GTAIV and GTAV and the rest to live on are super duper high quality. It takes less time when it counts on less polys. The way more polys, the way more time. They started GTAV in 2008/9 and they've only completed LS in our understanding -2012, that's 3/4 years, if they're gonna make Las Venturas (Which is mostly the same size, maybe larger) It will take depending on the size 8 if larger, 3/4 if smaller. Although we're going a little off-topic, Rockstar probably re-uses a lot of models when making cities, so that probably cuts time a little. MrSmarter22
So people.. Filip(GTARANDOM) told me on skype that he lost his inspiration because some guys which dont use their brain that often said that its low quality etc. Yeah its low quality atm because we first convert buildings from San Andreas add them into the map if all buildings are placed from San Andreas we remodel them and make better textures in high quality. So the screenshots that you saw are from the alpha version. But in the future we are going to remodel the buildings from San Andreas first and then place them. Hi, Nice project, Las Venturas to IV but please with hd textures (take it from IV). About V Rockstar is not so crasy to make LS size as LC, they already have Los Angeles in HD since Midnight club LA since 2008, so i dont think they passed more than 4 years working on countrysides, it would be crazy !!! Also on Car Plates, you can read SAN ANDREAS which means we will find LS, LV and SF another time in HD Good luck to your project...
