Liberty City just has a great feeling when playing to me. Cop chases are so fun because, cops in GTA IV are so "dumb" and you always had to dodge city traffic. It was just relaxing being able to beat a Pedestrian down without having a cop up your ass as soon as you bump into them like in V.

shhh

you don't want to hurt Phill, Officer and Vic's feelings, man

Rocket Skates

Hove Beach. I used to like the feel of the place with it being a somewhat run down part of town and the Eastern European gang members around the place. Had some good times role playing there causing mayhem in the streets and at the train platform etc. Every time I'd die I would grab a car near the hospital and speed back there to do it all again.

Suffolk (SoHo) is probably still one of my favorite neighborhoods. I've gone back to my Super GT, of course and this time in a gorgeous bronze color, and flashy James Bond-esque suits and drove around Alqonquin the same way I did with my Hakumai. No speeding, no spirited driving, just regular plain old driving. I just stopped in Suffolk and parallel parked in front of some fancy boutique and just had to take in the sights. I wish we could snap pictures on the PS3, it was gorgeous. From the unique cast-iron architecture to the cracked and chipped cobblestone streets, from the international chain outlets to the cool cars that you'll often find in and around Suffolk, it's just great. It's pretty insignificant but I was driving around in a dirty old Merit yesterday and drove onto my favorite Suffolk street when I saw a gorgeous orange Turismo parked on the side. It's stuff like that I really like. Of course the Turismo can be found so easily and once you spot one on the street you're going to see two or three more, but god damn. For some reason it kind of blew my mind. It's kind of like how in real life when you're cruising down a street casually and then you spot a hot red Ferrari on the side of the road. I really do love the many personalities this city has and the car spawning does help. Granted there's only ever like 5 different cars that can spawn around you at a time but every neighborhood seems to have a distinct set of cars. It's like that in every GTA but I really like it in IV. Only thing I hate is that the Super GT and Comet should be really common around the Suffolk and Meadow Hills area.

Suffolk is probably top 5 neighborhoods in the game. It's just so beautiful. My only gripe is that it's too small, like most neighborhoods between Midtown and Downtown Algonquin. I remember my trip to NYC, and walking through SoHo was just amazing. I just wish Suffolk had a large main boulveard, like SoHo has Broadway.

Little Italy and The Exchange are also superb. I love how gritty neighboring Chinatown and Lower Easton are.

I like it, even if it's pretty small. I like the Park Avenue counterpart. Nothing is mor epic than driving down a boulevard lined up with trees.

It's small, but you can do a lot with little space.

I just love how every single neighbourhood has its own individual tone, culture and atmosphere behind it.

I know, even neighborhoods that may look the same at first glance, you eventually find those small differences between. Like East Hook is slightly more run-down than neighboring BOABO.

Yeah I do hate that, Little Italy is laughably small. This is partially why I wouldn't care if Rockstar did another Liberty City. Hopefully if they did, Algonquin would be extremely wide and you'd actually get lost in it. My biggest gripe with Algonquin is it's width. It's so narrow.

Yeah, Manhattan is narrow, but only comparising its lenght. When you actually walk in the streets, it seems gitantic. Then you realise that there are 4 more boroughs. All way bigger.

I remember when we were supposed to drive from Greenwich Village to JFK for our flight home. After an hour, we were in East Village, which is right next to Greenwich. Traffic was awful.

About Greenwich Village, shame it wasn't featured in IV. It's a really interesting neighborhood. Lots of narrow, quiet streets, Victorian architecture, Washington Square, and a very laid-back, bohemian feel to it.

Yeah that would've been pretty awesome. I'm surprised they included Dukes neighborhoods like Meadow Hills and Alderney neighborhoods like Berchem though. Meadow Hills and Willis are so damn beautiful. All of the tudor and dutch architecture is so gorgeous. Forest Hills, New York is probably one of my favorite Queens neighborhoods, I've spent hours looking at it via Flickr and Google Streetview. I'd love to visit it whenever I go to New York. You mean Westminster?I think Westminster is more based on Chelsea, which is north of Greenwich Village, even though it has a few buildings that resemble GW.

These are the kinds of small townhouses that are commonly found in Greenwich Village.
