OmeXr Posted November 30, 2013 Author Share Posted November 30, 2013 no guys. ive changed my mind. i was so intense about gta3 to remain original, i didnt want anything that is hd. but now i will accept that. because hd effects or hd env like trees bushes etc doesnt hurt the game's original atmosphere. it is the buildings or cars thats ruining nostalgia. so, you can send me any model right now. i will choose what to use and will post screens too. Well it's just an idea, and I don't think it's possible but I just wanted to share the idea is really good for sure, but you see, in 2000 (GTAAdvance) Toni's apartment has already been destroyed by Mike (protag). so it would be wrong in chronological way. with this mod i want to tie all gta saga together and fix all of the errors. as you guys can guess, i will continue with vice city after III SXE's final version released. i have no other plans right now, but i cant say anything until i complete 3 and vc as fast as i can. also i'm thinking of releasing BETA 2.5 to keep you guys up with new things. but i have to say, beta 2.5 is really different with it's cars and env. also there will be no map changes until beta 3 as you know. (beta3 will be released in jan 2014) btw, can anyone convert lc sawmill, vincenzo's warehouse and salvatore's office interiors from lcs? Do you ever think about making low poly fake interiors for your buildings, kinda like what V had on some buildings? I noticed you tend to make the glass buildings transparent so you can see through them. This could be cool! 2. Make all interiors enterable (Тhough, as far as I understood from mod's description, they will be accessible and explorable anytime already). 3. Makes some of the buildings in Liberty City with explorable staircase as interior where you can go from entrance on ground inside building, and climb all building's floors to its roof (and eventually adding a ramp on roofs of these buildings for vehicle stunt jumps). 4. Please OmeXr do not make changes within GTA 3's main.scm! I request this because I use 100% completed savegames for playing GTA 3 and any modifications in main.scm will make existent 100% completed savegames with all missions done uploaded in GTAGarage incompatible with his mod. 5. Remove this annoying bug when Claude goes inside an interior or а garage, the camera locking up on one direction and you cannot rotate the camera at all to any other direction until Claude exit the interior (or respectively from garage alone or with vehicle he was chose to drive). But, for now, we have to complete the "base" of the game in order to add/extend it's original material. this is why im working on the teleportion system before i make any map changes right now.. You use highest resolution textures, but on screenshots i can't see any noise ( looks like mipmap on textures), but GTAIII-engine can't support mipmaps or i wrong? OmeXr Posted December 1, 2013 Author Share Posted December 1, 2013 im using ATI Radeon HD 5870 (1GB) and it comes with it's advantages. there is a program called AMD Catalyst Control Center and it forces any 3d program to have those features like mipmapping etc.. Like the new roads should appear on the minimap. And from minimap I remember, will there be a full sized map like in Vice-City accessible from the main menu? The mod BTTF: Liberty City has it, and instead of opening it from the menu, we open it in-game. One more thing, I'm in favour of the 2.5 BETA release. It would be better for me if it releases within a week or two as I have exams after that. And an addition to the game would be to improve how the game plays the Unity FM, if that's what its called. SCREENS: Police HQ Helipad: As you know, Toni's staunton safehouse garage was already in gta3, but hidden. so i've just opened it's door, and it has collision aswell. its kinda scary.. Ups, it's been a long time since I played GTA III though . Why don't do something like this project http://gtaforums.com/topic/647468-wipgta-san-andreas-mission-effects/ For example : The destroyed house of Toni can become an empty terrain, or a new construction site after some missions. Same with the destroyed fish factory. The Fort Stauton plaza could have some change too as we progress through the story (not alot, there is some cutscenes inside the building, but some modifications ) The Dam could be damaged after the final mission.
