I voted Tommy, but I want someone completely new, which should've been in the poll.

 

Besides Luis being bland, Johnny Klebitz was probably the worst, most boring, and most unrelateable/unbelievable character of all GTA's. Wonder how much the Housers got paid/influenced for creating that character and putting him in one of their games? This time, I hope the characters are a little more true to their position, instead of a lame fairytale. I also hope they research car horns and put the right horn sounds with the right cars. An LTD with a Honda Accord horn is stupid.

Voted for CJ but Luis was cool too

It's funny, because those two are actually my least favourite protagonists.

 

CJ was a busta, always walking on tippy toes. he saw the restrictions before the possibilities, he would have had made no progress after being trown out of LS, if it weren't for Kendl and Ceasar.

 

Luis had little personality, all we know about him was that he would do anything for Tony. Furthermore, he changes his mind on a dime: First he doesn't wanna help Armando and Henrique and then he's like "Ok bro" He even does stupid sh*t for them twice. You would have thought he would have said no the secound time.

 

 

That being said I want a new perspective for the protagonist of V.I don't get the obsession with old characters and locations. I actually would rather see R* tackle a whole new city. However it's cool how R* said goodbye to the old characters when their fans clearly want nothing more that the old characters returning.

How's Johnny any more unrelateable than every other single protagonist in GTA? Johnny just wanted what was best for the brotherhood. Agreed, He made some very stupid choices, but he tried to make the Lost prosper.

I feel like niko bellic was a wrong choice for GTA IV. Feel like he didn't really fit the new york city scene. CJ or Tommy vercetti type character would have been much better IMO.

Tommy was a brutal sociopath who is boarder-line insane. WHICH I LOVE!

I loved playing as the boss running everything the way Tommy saw fit. GTA needs another Scarface type of guy. Large and in charge. Someone who climbs to the top of their organization in a trail of blood. None of that, "go there and kill that guy and get $5000 crap". We need a protag that gives and does the hits that HE wants, that HE makes on his own time. A protag that takes no crap from no one. A protag that can be un-forgivingly brutal, but at the same time can keep a cool head and think rationally. GTA needs another Tommy Vercetti, another 100% badass.

Null vote as I want the protagonist/protagonists to make a new legend. Just like Niko did in GTA IV. Although Tommy Vercetti is my favourite GTA protagonist.

Well if I had to choose I would go for a Tommy Vercetti-esque character, I am playing back through Vice now and it's made me realize that i liked Tommy because he was smart, he had a take-no-sh*t kinda attitude, and he had some pretty good calls too.
