5-6 years. Probably they started before G.T.A. IV's release.

probably 6 months after GTA IV was released, they started R&D.

They've been working on Red Dead Redemption since before 2005.

 

As for Grand Theft Auto V, I'd say that they started development immediately, or shortly after Grand Theft Auto IV was released. I'd guess there were a separate team working on the GTA IV episodes.

PC version - 4-5 years. Console versions - yet to be ported.

Oh, you mean it on the contrary, right? Console version being developed - yet to be ported to PC.

not sure when they started development but they've definitely been in the thinking process for years before gta iv released
