Is GTA San Andreas standard edition 1.0?

Hi.

 

I want to see if there's a legal version of GTA San Andreas 1.0 available for a legitimate purchase, is the standard edition in this 1.0?

I see standard, then 2.0, I need people to confirm that standard is 1.0.

Standard is now 2.0 because rockstar discontinued 1.0.

 

Its illegal for retail stores to sell it, but its OK for auction sites to sell it, but its very rare.

 

But in this case on amazon, standard is listed as 1.0. Make sure if you buy it, when you get it you check if its 1.0. If its 2.0 the case will say VERSION 2.

Thanks for the reply. I think I found proof that standard edition is 1.0.

 

If you zoom in on the photo, you can see that there is "Second Edition" written on the bottom of the case for the 2.0. But when you select standard, you don't see the text there. Does this mean that standard is 1.0?

And on another note, I'm canadian, which means I cannot buy from Amazon.com, while I can buy from Amazon.ca. I've found these two:

Is the first link really version 1? I've bought GTA SA years ago, and I made a mistake because it was v2, but at that time I didn't know about modding was. I just don't want to make the mistake again. But if you look closely on the first and second link, the cover of GTA SA's have nothing on the bottom of the first one, but "second edition" on the v2 link. So the first one is v1 right?

Don't double post. If your previous posting is unanswered just use the EDIT button to add/delete/change the content in your last posting.

 

You should check with the Vendor as to which Version (first or second Edition) they are selling.

What ever anyone here says, it's the Vendor than knows for sure.

V1.0 has problems fixed in the V1.01 Patch, which also renders it unmodable.

V2 has all the fixes but isn't readily modable, it has to be 'downgraded' to remove the programing that would block modding. We don't discuss how to or where to get downgraders on this forum.

V3 the Download Game (which I don't suggest) is not moddable at all.
