Mexico would need as much map area as Red Dead Redemption (you can't have Mexico be the size of Bohan), so already you've lost a good portion of the total map. On top of that, you have the California wilderness and other possible enviroments that have yet to be revealed. Mexico is too big of a location, physically and just as a name. GTAV is going to have an American theme and an American vibe. Mexico would just take back from that. I agree with this, I'd prefer it to be focused on California. I'm not sure how they'd top that, but I'd like to see them try. If Mexico is in V, that would be the third R* game in a row to feature a South American country. Even if Mexico isn't in, you can be sure there will be a large Latino presence in every area of the game, from the neighbourhoods, to the npc's, story characters & language. But I don't think we'll actually see Mexico itself; but I think it will play a big part in the story line regardless--it has to. And about the trailer revealing more of the map: Is anyone else beginning to assume that the next trailer will land on 2nd November (or whenever it would be exactly one year after the first ...)? A lot of the locations surrounding Los Angeles are flooded with great Latin architecture, such as Santa Barbara and San Pedro. Also, Mexican immigration (illegal) is obviously a big topic in Los Angeles at the moment. It has created a lot of controversy, tension, and even riots all across the state. Even people who are legal citizens are being abused and discriminated against. There is no doubt in my mind it will be apart of V's story. I meant only a small part of the Mexican border... im pretty sure there will be a desert in the game so why not make it more interesting and make it a mexican area with small towns? Have you seen a SoCal map? The Mexican-USA border is very close to LA. Closer than SF and LV. I predict a Tijuana will be in the game.
