Zee
I want a f*cking movie studio. If a big movie studio to explore and cause havoc in isnt in the game then its officially going to suck. Yeah bro, I 100% agree.... Golf carts, too. There'd better be golf carts.

Kifflom112
I think we'll see a mix of the city atmosphere we saw in GTAIV, with the wild open landscape we saw in RDR,plus a few surprises in between. It's going to be a masterpiece. The best thing is, this HD wilderness will be designed for motorized vehicles & not horses. I think everyone who has played GTA IV & RDR has dreamt of what driving your favourite vehicle across RDR' s map would be like. I can't wait to find out & that motocross screenshot really whet my appetite. Yes, I always wished there was a cheat code in Red Dead Redemption to spawn in a car from GTA IV! As for the topic at hand... If they had only said "a re-imagined southern California", then you might have a point. But they have specified what will be included and that is "Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside, and beaches". If there was more, they would not be so specific. Right from San Andreas's first announcement, it was confirmed to take place in a state composed of three cities. So obviously, San Fierro and Las Venturas are not returning. San Diego seems highly unlikely, but I won't completely count that out just yet. But instead of continuing to discuss these other cities' inclusion, let's wait until there's at least the tiniest shred of evidence that there will be another city, because at the moment it's all just wishful thinking and twisting Rockstar's words along with going against logic and reason to somehow argue for their inclusion. I agree with you, you have great points. Nothing is confirmed yet, but San Diego does seem a bit possible.
Choco Taco
The quote says "GTA V heads...", not GTA as a franchise (the way you use it). So the analogy already fails. It's the same thing. Nice try, though. Furthermore, R* never said GTA: San Andreas heads to Los Santos and surrounding countryside... in a re-imagined Southern California. Nobody said they did. If anything, R* was clear that GTA:SA was heading to an entire state (hence, the title). Yep. They said it was going to the state of San Andreas which it did. but there is reason R* used "Southern California" as a reference point There's a reason they used the word "reimagined" as well. They could have been perfectly clear, but they chose not to. It's not that R* can put anything they want into Southern California, it's that R* is limiting what goes into V to cities/landmarks found in real life Southern California. It could mean different things. There's more than one interpretation. Magic Al put it best here or in another thread: re-imagined Battlestar Galactica is still Battlestar Galactia, so expect Cylons and not Klingons. It could be Cylons, but it could also be Cylons and Klingons . Both would be a reimagined Battlestar Galactica. Same logic applies to GTA V. It could be logical or illogical. There are no rules here. This isn't science or math. The inclusion of LV, SF, or even Mexico would only trivialize the Southern California statement, Doesn't matter. Their statements would still be true. as well as R*'s commitment to only providing "accurate information." Yeah, don't buy into that too much. Anyway, I believe that statement referred to in game elements that were shown but then removed. Expect elements from Southern California to be mixed up in V, don't get your hopes up for cities (or countries) that fall outside this area. I'm fine either way. All I'm saying is SF and LV are still possible. Answer these questions for me: 1. Why did Houser dodge the San Andreas question from Game Informer and not want to say anything else about the subject? What's the harm in saying SF and LV aren't in the game if that's true? He knew what Game Informer was asking. San Andreas is synonymous with the 3 cities. He avoided it. Why? 2. Is it still possible SF and LV are in this game? Be honest. Yes or no.
JoeJoeMcTwist
@ChocoTaco 1. He dodged it because he didn't want to disappoint long time fans of San Andreas by flat out saying NO. He tried to answer the question in a positive way by saying what GTAV will have rather than what it won't have. Learn how to take a hint. Your looking into it too deeply. It was an interview question. He was under pressure and gave the best answer he could without sounding negative. 2. CJ being the protagonist is possibility too I guess. Is it probable that LV and SF are in? Nope. Edited September 18, 2012 by JoeJoeMcTwist
Choco Taco
@ChocoTaco 1. He dodged it because he didn't want to disappoint long time fans of San Andreas by flat out saying NO. Yeah, that will work really well. Let the fans think SF and LV could be in the game for as long as possible. That'll minimize disappointment. 2. CJ being the protagonist is possibility too I guess. Is it probable that LV and SF are in? Nope. Nice. Another dodged question. Yes or no.
JoeJoeMcTwist
1. if your gonna quote me, quote the whole statement cause your taking one sentence out of context. 2. fun fact: In the American judicial system, a lawyer cannot ask a witness if something is merely possible. If you ask in terms of possibility, anything can be possible and the answers can trail on and lead nowhere. So if you want a straight answer, ask a direct question. Choco Taco
2. fun fact: In the American judicial system This isn't the American judicial system. If you ask in terms of possibility, anything can be possible No, not all things are possible. ask a direct question. Is it possible that LV and SF are in this game? Questions don't get any more direct than that. Yes or no. I, as well as everyone reading this, know you're scared to give an honest answer. Choco Taco
What's worse? Us being dissapointed if there is no LV and SF for 6 months with nothing to do but bitch about it on these forums, or us being dissapointed that there is no LV or SF and not being told either way, but with GTA V in our hands? So the scenarios are a) being told that SF and LV are not in the game 6 months before release and then getting the game b) left in the dark for 6 months believing and hoping that they're in it and finding out they're not included when you play the game Is that correct? b is worse That question is as solid as bowl of noodles. I'm not gonna give you the satisfaction of answering it It doesn't matter. We know your answer even if you don't have the courage to admit it. JoeJoeMcTwist
@ChocoTaco pfff... don't even talk to me about courage. This is a forum, courage doesn't exist here. It's the most passive aggressive form of communication. Alright, I'll humour you. I'll answer your question if you answer this question first... Is it possible that when your not looking at the moon, it's not there?

I disagree, if they tell us they aren't there and we spend 6 months complaining about it there is a small chance it could affect their sales. If they don't give us that negative information until it comes out with the release of the game than it gets overeshadowed by all of the cool features and everything else there will be to talk about. It's the most passive aggressive form of communication. Alright, I'll humour you. I'll answer your question if you answer this question first... Is it possible that when your not looking at the moon, it's not there? Like I said, we already know your answer. If they don't give us that negative information until it comes out with the release of the game than it gets overeshadowed by all of the cool features and everything else there will be to talk about. 1. It wasn't about sales - it was about the level of disappointment. The longer you believe you're getting something, the more you'll feel disappointed when you find out you're not getting it. 2. Sales would be the same either way. If someone wouldn't buy the game if it didn't include SF and LV, then they would wait until the locations have been confirmed to make their decision. If "cool features" can persuade them to buy it, they'd buy the game if the cities were revealed 6 months before release or not.
