Yeah, the next interesting things that are comig are from Rockstar with some new info for GTA V and in early November the finance conference of TakeTwo. This time it'll be even more interesting than last time because we are moving to the end of the fiscal year as fast as the time flies so really fast! If TakeTwo still expect 1.8 billion dollar respective $2 dollar per share on the next conference call then the possibility that GTA V won't be released this fiscal year is less than 1%. I believe it was sometime around E3 if memory serves me correctly. Perhaps it was the screenshots that he claims to have seen "months in advance". It is officially a few weeks do there's a good chance I agree. I think he's just playing the odds; if R* releases some V info in the next 2 weeks, he looks like he knows his stuff, and he gets loads of hits and loads of revenue. It wouldn't be a long stretch to say that we'll get V info soon because of R*'s "in a few weeks". The Friday that just passed marked week 3 since the last batch of screens...so... But yeah, he does have "contact" with R* in some form. Last month they sent him an iPad and some R* shirts to give out to his viewers because they couldn't send him DLC codes to give out for MP3 as that DLC was free. haha I remember when we were all hyped and in the end it was just an iPad Anyway, he wouldn't just say this without any knowledge. Do you think Rockstar -- who has had a public relationship with this guy -- would get pissed off at him for pretending to have a source if he didn't? What if he did have a legitimate source, would Rockstar be mad at him? If so, why would he make a prediction like that and potentially breach Rockstar's trust in him? It's an interesting situation because I believe Rockstar will never give this man an ounce of information. On the other hand, his 'promotional relationship' with Rockstar means that he probably knows a couple of the people involved in the making of GTA V. I'm rambling a little bit, because it's a little difficult to figure this one out. Could it be that Rockstar actually gave him their blessing in 'leaking' this week as a date? If not, then wouldn't he be pissing Rockstar off? But why would he do that when their trust in him benefits both of them mutually? Are they just laughing in the office because they know he's talking non-sense, and is he just taking a guess based on "more to see in a few weeks"? In my opinion, we have a very weird little situation on our hands with this guy. What you say is certainly true that they won't like it if he gives out information that was given to him in confidence. A few years ago I myself posted things like "the next trailer/website update is next week" when I heard stuff from someone in the lead up to Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories. So I know it is possible for someone at Rockstar to tell another person stuff like this. I was younger then and had a different way of looking at things; if it was today I probably wouldn't have spread info like that. Since those years they've become very secretive. Not even people who work on the game (Rockstar North) knows in advance about things like screenshot updates. They all find out on the same day as we do. It's kept very tight within the marketing folk and a few key people. Even the announcement of the game was a surprise to people at Rockstar North. I don't want to say too much obviously, but I find it very odd that someone in marketing would leak out information to anyone outside of the company and use them to pre-announce something. Things don't go out so easily out of the company without the approval of very key people at the top. At least, that's what I have been told. Maybe his source is not Rockstar. Maybe it's a magazine.
