I hope it's like GTA 3 where you get a sh*t tonne of money even for the start missions. inlove.gif

Now that I think about it, it was stupid as f*ck to get paid that much and have nothing to spend it on except guns. bored.gifsuicidal.gif

As much as I want the money reward to stay, I'd like for Rockstar Games to mix it up and give us all types of rewards.

But if you think about it, we have had other rewards besides money. Example for that is GTA LCS first mission which requires you to drive Vincenzo to your safe house which becomes your reward at the end of the mission. Even some specific side missions unlocked have been rewards. So we have had other rewards besides money.

Money has come in hand a lot in the past GTA's, but their was just too much of it which is why I'd like to see you put your cash in the bank or a specific business which you can keep it in a safe from their.

I don't think the amount of money we get from missions is the problem, I think its what items are priced at IMO, but your not wrong either, I feel they should either change the price for items or $$ for missions.

When I downloaded GTA III on PSN I had like $120,000 while I was still in Portland and people say there's nothing to spend money on in GTA IV. wow.gif

LCS wasn't much better. Must be something about LC and the ridiculous amounts of money given with hardly anything to spend it on. tounge.gif

It all depends on what's relevant to the mission. If there's a mission where you're stealing vehicles, for instance, you shouldn't really gain money as a reward. But if you're doing bank heists, robbing stores, etc you should receive money (obviously).

Maybe at the end of a mission we can choose if we want cash or items?

my belief since GTAIII is that you should be payed by the delegated work you perform. If your mission is to take somebody out a measly $500 bucks is bull crap. I made fun of that in my old mistakes guides.

Thank you. This is something that has always bothered me. I really hope R* pays attention to this type of common sense stuff.

My memory isn't too well, but I recall reading a post on here where someone said that the Economy in LC was very good at the time (In GTA III 99-01), hence the high payouts, I mean I got like $4500 for the first mission! biggrin.gificon14.gif

Also, I like the ideas of getting items like cars or weapons for doing missions, infact I have some examples of my own:

Do a mission for a crazy gun nut (Like the quad guy): A high powered Rifle.

Do a mission for a rich person (Like the lady getting arrested): A cool sports car. (Like the Audi R8 in the trailer, I pray that R* did not replace that with the Cheetah, even though I like the Cheetah).

Do a mission for a guy living in the hood (Like the "Chop" guy: A low-rider and a Pistol/Sub Machine gun like a Uzi, Tec 9 or Mac 10

Do a mission for a rich/well off guy (Like Ned Luke): A nice suit and a Sports car like the Cheetah.

Do a mission for a animal caretaker (Like having to save some animals from getting butchered or killed at a farm for example.): Get your dog healed for free, and/or get a replacement Dog if your current one dies. sad.gif

I could agree with that but also remember the reward for doing a certain amount of side missions also rewards with items in previous GTAs for example: in TLAD the side missions for Angus was to steal bikes and after you stole 10 bikes for him he would give you the Bati 800.

Maybe the reward for side missions should be greater in V if they were to apply the choice of money or items after you complete a mission?

They need to actually rethink which missions would give you cash. In TBOGT there was the mission "In The Crosshairs" which is an Ambush set up by Bulgarin, yet, when you complete it you still get $6.000. How the F*ck did you get that money? Makes no sense to me.

I hope you dont get money like that. If you get money for some missions you need to pick it up somewhere after you compleet the mission. A bit more realistic (imo more fun).

I like that idea but I think in the game they "technically" wire the money to your bank account, thus also being another reason Niko makes the phone call after the mission is completed. I'm just assuming tho

Playing missions to get payed? When I complete a level of super mario I don't get payed. And I still play the next level, why? Cause I never play missions to get cash or rewards, I play it because its fun an I wanted to complete the game like every other game.

So I ask rockstar: stop giving us sh*tloads of money for every mission (except robberies etc) so it gives the sidemissions more value when you need money.

It's more of a demand then a question I quess.

Why would the protag do other peoples dirty work for free, don't forget that the reason the main character does missions is to get money to live.

Exactly.. All GTA games have done this.. Often it makes no sense, and the amounts you get paid are totally random, not to mention the cost of things.

The whole system needs huge reworking (i'm hoping they have already)

LOL yes this is a perfect example also I never understood that you still get payed money after being blackmailed. That makes no sense at all.

Money should be given if it makes sense for the mission. Like I killed a person I would expect to be paid for it. I drive a friend to his house I don't expect money but maybe a favour in the future.

Also I thin it would be cool if we bought and sold stuff using a card and most of our money was in banks.

Remember in GTA IV we had ATMs, WHY?

What if we are able to draw out money from ATMs, to use as cash in hand to buy small stuff, but when we buy a car or house etc, the money goes from our bank account

awesome

and when your walking in the streets with alot of cash, you always got the danger that someone pickpockets you tounge.gif

I think it should vary, for example, if its for a friend (think CJ doing the Sweet or Big Smoke missions) then no, don't get paid, but if its a job for someone (think Mike Toreno) then yes you get paid but the amounts should be lowered.
