RockStarNiko
Do you think they are going to replace this idea? We usually do missions and the money rewards start of at $50 and $100, working their way upto $10,000 at latter stages. I think they might scrap this whole thing and instead have missions give no cash rewards. Instead we earn all our money from side missions and activities such as stealing cars, selling them, robbing stores and people etc Possible? Darbuka
I only hope we just don't get so much money that we can't even spend it all like in previews gtas
MRPG500
Then why would the main character accept a mission if he will not get payed? So I don´t think they will replace that.
ShotGunRain
I think getting an item instead of cash would be awesome. Imagine getting rare car, or rare airplane as a reward if the player doesn't like the reward they can always sell them for cash.
Deffpony
This is a good topic to discuss. The money awarded for missions always seems off to me. There needs to be some kind of reward for doing a job but I would really like it if the the reward better reflected the difficulty of the job. Maybe we wont be playing errand boy type missions. We don't have to have a cash reward as an incentive to do a mission, there could be many reasons why we do a mission. RockStarNiko
Also I thin it would be cool if we bought and sold stuff using a card and most of our money was in banks. Remember in GTA IV we had ATMs, WHY? What if we are able to draw out money from ATMs, to use as cash in hand to buy small stuff, but when we buy a car or house etc, the money goes from our bank account

What kind of missions do you think we'll play then? GTA has always followed the same mission formula: go to a criminal, accept a job, do it and get paid in cash. It will remain. wwinterj
No. The answer isn't to limit how we make money but to add more ways to spend it. No point fixing something that isn't broken.
JoeJoeMcTwist
you can't put dirty money in the bank unless you launder it so that rules banks out. Unless the protagonist has a legitimate business. I just hope theres more things you need money for in the game. GTAs always been about doing crimes and makin money. But it always seemed to stockpile without end.
Johan
It looks like we'll be earning a bit of money in the beginning then gain thousands later kinda like RDR
RockStarNiko
I always get too much money and too much ammo for weapons. If they throw in more use for money that would be great Also if they made it so we MUST buy ammo, then that gives money another purpose and also stops us having tons of unneeded ammo. BillPatt
I think they will re-implement the rewards system seeing as how the main Theme is the all mighty dollar
Pyrrhic
I hope it's like GTA 3 where you get a sh*t tonne of money even for the start missions.

Chukkles
Then why would the main character accept a mission if he will not get payed? So I don´t think they will replace that. A life or death situation. Ofcourse I don't like this idea though. We do a robbery mission and not get our cut of the loot??? Sure there could be missions with no reward, like just driving someone somewere, they say thanks and thats all the reward you get, lol. @RockStarNiko: you can never have too much ammo. Tori_95
i want to feel the bad economy and cant even buy ammo, and also, the guns i get from the enemies i kill dont give me enought, that would be interesting, they could make difficulty levels, this would be the higher
Kaykwik
I like the idea of having a bank account. But like someone mentioned before you can't put dirty money in a bank account. So there needs to be a money laundering system. e.g. you give $100 of dirty money and get back $75 of clean money which can be banked, the launderer get a 25% cut. Add a risk to carrying cash on hand - if you get busted or killed you loose half of the cash on hand.
Vanzant
my belief since GTAIII is that you should be payed by the delegated work you perform. If your mission is to take somebody out a measly $500 bucks is bull crap. I made fun of that in my old mistakes guides.

I like this logic -- it puts you in a difficult predicament: do you take the 25% laundering loss and bank the cash (keeping it safe) or take the risk of carrying it to avoid losing any in fees? significantother
Why would you even think they would be replacing this current system, just out of curiosity?
Shreddy Krueger
The current system is fine, no need to complicate it up with laundering fees and all that nonsense. Someone else said it perfectly: R* just needs to implement more ways to spend money than IV. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember in the earlier missions of San Andreas, and even maybe a couple mid-way through the game, you actually didn't earn any income, but you did receive respect. Given RDR's Honor system I imagine something similar may carry into V, and in some cases will act as a substitute for money in certain missions. Otherwise, the payments system is fine. Just allow me to do more sh*t with the generous helpings of dirty ill-gotten funds you provide me with, R*.
Algonquin Assassin
I woudln't mind an evolution of "Respect" and with some missions your reward is "trust". It would be be fitting for those missions strands where you start working for a particular gang. Wouldn't you naturally have to earn their trust? I think this could even be expanded into gang related side missions too, but of course cash rewards should still be present to a degree.
H. León
@Miamivicecity Yes, that would be cool, adding gangs trust/like level, just like friends in GTA IV.
Deffpony
As much as I like your idea miamivice I'm not expecting anything different from the past nor do I expect something like that to work. Features like that often times feel too forced and like they don't really matter at the end. The only way for features like these to work is if the game is more rpg oriented which I would definitively like

However, I think it would add greatly to the length of playtime if you could only aquire cash from buisnesses and side missions.
gtafan023
Erm...instead of telling them to remove cash reward in mission, why not tell them to add more content such as property, cars, insurans to buy in the game?>_>
JPichay
Uhh, I wouldn't say scrap, maybe reform and re-arrange a bit? It did seem odd that you would receive reward in the form of money from a personal friend for doing a simple chore or task, let alone if they were undergoing some deep financial troubles as well. I did read some speculation that the distribution and value of money in the real world would be simulated into GTA V, so maybe instead of receiving a hundred bucks for driving someone, maybe the reward would be a blowjob, personal gift, or a few bucks of cash, etc.
Radz
There should be more rewards, For example if you do a mission for a Gangster he gives you Rocket Launcher as Reward, If you do a mission for Car's Showroom owner, you get Free Pay n Spray for Life, or a very rare Car etc etc.
