universetwisters
I guess here we can talk about all things Manhunt. Yay, Manhunt. Killing pig men with chainsaws! Yay!
DonkeyEatingCheese
I love both the Manhunt games. I don't see why people think it is too violent when it isn't violent than God of War or any zombie game. I love violent games!
wwinterj
It wasn't the violence that made Manhunt one of the best if not the best game from R* for me it's the atmosphere they created. I loved the added feature of using a headset on the PS2 and hearing the directors voice in my ear as I creep about trying to survive in anyway I can. The sequel however in the UK went through the mill and didn't come out as great as I had hoped. I'd love to see a Manhunt 3 but chances of this happening are very slim. IvoryX
We all know both Manhunt games are somehow related to GTA III Era right? I would like to see Manhunt 3 being related to IV or even V, on RAGE engine.

DonkeyEatingCheese
Btw I played the uncensored version of Manhunt 2 when I was 14. But I still am not violent. I have been playing violent games since I was 7.
Gtaghost22
I love this series, shame Manhunt 3 (most likely) isn't even in development, it's not even that violent like people make it out to be, there is way more violence in God of War 3 for example. Hmmm nice bike
I remember when I first played Manhunt, I wasn't too into horror games but this was easily the most intense game I played at the time (early 2007). I loved every bit of it, and I was excited for Manhunt 2 which came out later that year amid the controversy. Of course, I've only ever played the censored PSP version. It's not a bad game, but I didn't think it was as good as the first one. It sucks that there probably won't ever be a Manhunt 3, but I personally think that Max Payne 3 is the closest we're gonna get for now to a Manhunt 3 as far as the atmosphere goes (call me crazy, I know Max Payne 3 isn't a stealth/horror game but I sorta got a Manhunt vibe in some of the levels that took place at night, and some of the music reminded me of the Manhunt soundtrack. That and just the general dirty and dark atmosphere that much of the game took place in, especially the New Jersey scenes). This track especially reminded me of something you'd hear in Manhunt, and the scene it was played in was at a cemetery at night, too. Only different is instead of sneaking up and brutally executing people we just went in guns blazing and shot everyone. GTA-King
The first one is one of my favorite games of all time. The second one was ok, but in my opinion, they focused too much on story. Silly I know. I just like the simplicity of the first one. You play as a death row inmate trying to survive a snuff film. Just badass! Plus, you never know what Cash did to get on death row... so you can make up your own story. I like games like that. I had one of my greatest video game moments in the first game. During the last level, when you're sneaking through the attic. You turn a corner and out of nowhere a crazy, chainsaw wielding pig man comes running at you. In my game he screamed "Pigsy is gonna suck your guts!" I literally screamed, paused the game, and went into the corner and rocked back and forth. Throughout the whole game you are going against "normal" people, and you come across this scary mother f*cker in a dark creepy attic. Took me like 20 mins to gain the courage to continue playing Bravo Rockstar!

Algonquin Assassin
Never got to play Manhunt 2 (thanks Australia ), but I still have my xbox version of Manhunt I got in 2004 before it was banned outright. Infact I was playing it last week. While it's aged I think what makes it chilling is you're not faced with ghosts, zombies etc rather just people. I could picture something like it in real life. When I first played it I was terrified of it. Especially the zoo level. The fact it's so realistic (compared to the typical survival horror I mean) is what makes it creepy. In regards to above I agree that MP3 has a Manhunt vibe. I brought this up a couple of weeks ago in the GTA V forum, but if I was to make a Manhunt 3 I'd set it in Mexico. With the way R* captured the grit and grime of San Paulo even though it was in Brazil I have thought how R* could do the same for Mexico City or a smaller Mexican city. With the sick and twisted things the drug cartels do I think it'd be an incredible theme for a Manhunt game IMO. The problem is such a game would be nothing, but a figment of the imagination as it would get raped by all the soccer mums around the world. We can only dream of such an atmospheric setting on R.A.G.E. Edited September 18, 2012 by Miamivicecity

WF the Hobgoblin
I hadn't played it before last year. To be honest, I wasn't that fussed. While I thought the idea and atmosphere was really good, I didn't really enjoy the actual gameplay that much. Also maybe it was because I was playing it for the first time in 2011, but I didn't think it was as gruesome as everyone made out.

Back then it was quite gruesome compared to alot of games. I guess you'd had to have played it when it was new to get a full appreciation.
AceRay
I always found Manhunt kind of the reverse slasher movie. Instead of a psychotic killer hiding in dark corners ready to straggle and mutilate normal people, its about a normal dude who hides in dark corners to strangle and mutilate psychotic killers. Always kinda liked that twist.
John The Grudge
I think Rockstar should consider doing a sequel to Manhunt. Stealth games will always be popular. I loved some of the details in Manhunt. One that springs to mind is when you carried a head around with you, it would gradually decay. I recall having to kill a dude in a caravan/trailer thing. He was on the toilet and I could see him through the window, so I just tossed that head through window onto his lap. Hilarious. I don't know if they'd get away with a game that violent now. Redketman
I hope there'll be a Manhunt 3. caio3771
I really like the fact that Rockstar made a game which has an awesome atmosphere, epic deaths, extremely violence. And the game is even funny, you know... I like that camera when were executing those hunters, that's cool. I just think they could done a better gameplay, but this game is still awesome. Too bad I can't play manhunt 2, I will try it someday.
