GTA V on Wii U?

Do you think that's why they have been late maybe it's because they are making the game for the Wii U and maybe they release the game like 1 month after the Wii U release, what is you thoughts?

While I think there's a good chance of GTA V on the Wii U, I don't think it'll come out so soon after the Wii U's release, otherwise it would've been mentioned at the Nintendo announcements last week.

Very mouch doubt it, the hardware is not so good(below ps3)and as i've read, its very hard to program on the Wii platform.

 

Also, Wii only supports CDs lol

Maybe it will be on the WII U, but I doubt if this is the reason why it takes so much time to release, because people won't just go and buy WII U to play GTA V. If it was on the WII U, I don't think R* would wait just so they could have the WII U verswion done, just like they release the PS3 and XOBX 360 versions before the PC.

Actually it's on a par and maybe even better than the current gen of consoles in some areas (double the RAM, for example).

WiiU supports 1080p resolution, I think It's faster than PS3 and X360.

There just won't be enough people who own a Wii U when V is launched, for Rockstar to spend the extra money & time needed to develop for it. Unless Nintendo dipped into their vast pockets & paid R*. I'm sure it will eventually be ported to the Wii U & could well be a better looking game compared to the 360 & PS3 versions.

Disagree completely. Next gen consoles don't even come into this and apparently those are screens from the console version. If I had to guess I'd say from the 360 as most developers show the 360 version first when dealing with multi platform games.

That doesn't exactly look a million miles away from the parachute from TBOGT in a setting reminiscent of RDR. Nothing that R* couldn't do on this generation of consoles, considering they have had over 7 years working exclusively with the RAGE engine. They have obviously refined it & are getting the very most from it & are pushing the hardware to its absolute limit.

 

There are many millions of current gen consoles out there, how many Wii U's will there be in a few months? Do you seriously think it's only coming out on PC & Wii U?

Lol the Wii U is so far looking to be more powerful than current gen consoles.

Their ram choice however was quite limiting.

It's not "next gen", it's the best "current gen" console.

 

Wheather take 2 want to spend the money to port gta v for the wii u still depends on the cost of porting and potential sales from the wii u install base.

The WiiU is for Wii little kids. GTA is not going to be on it. And Rockstar would delay the release of the game on the WiiU, not delay the entire game. Just like they do for the PC version.

In regards to the specs, the Wii U is built very similar to an Xbox 360. The console has 1GB+1GB of RAM (Xbox 360 has 512MB and PS3 has 256MB+256MB), except here Games are get 1GB to use how they want (like Xbox 360) whilst the other 1GB is reserved for OS and Emergency Situations. The CPU is a Triple Core (again, like Xbox 360) but with a slightly faster clock speed and the GPU is a boosted Radeon 400 series. Power wise it can handle ANY current gen game fine AND in 1080p native.

 

Space wise it uses a modified Blu-ray ONLY Single Layer, which still gives the games a total of 25GB to play with per disc (compared to the Xbox 360 8.5GB per disc/10GB post limit squeeze).

No, more like an Xbox 360 if it was made 5 years ago, the Ram boost is THE most wanted thing by developers and now with the Wii U they have double the maximum RAM to play with and they don't have to worry about OS allotment, like I said, it's built enough to handle 1080p as standard, native, not upscaled, so this thing can pump out games like Gears of War, Skyrim, Max Payne 3, GTA, etc, at 1920x1080 with the equivalent of PC on High details (Xbox 360/PS3 only match Medium detail). So yeah, I'd say it's more of an in between, from it's launch, it WILL be the most powerful console on the market until the next Xbox and Playstation come around with the real big improvements.

Interesting. I'll buy one once more games are on the system that I'm interested in (Rayman Legends and Bayonetta 2) and it sounds like It'll be able to run GTA V. I still don't see V been on the system but you never know considering R* games have been on the Wii. They could use the tablet controller to display the map in GTA V.
