Ever since the screens a few weeks ago It seems this section has become excessively more hostile. It seems there cannot be a general discussion on a topic that doesn't get flamed within 5 replies. I have refrained entirely from posting topics/replies due to the fact of knowing I will somehow get bashed so badly that Rihanna wouldnt even be able to recover. The mods seem to have given up as well, with multiple repeated topics popping up over and over it must be difficult to them all. Heated topics with flame wars seem to also be left unattended on the most part. Rockstar needs to give us something before this section becomes worse and burns to the ground.

GTA V to some people will be the best game ever, so they're defending it to within an inch of their lives, even thought they're coming across immature and incomprehensible. An anger against R* is understandable, people want to know more about this game and R* aren't delivering, for whatever reason. Unfortunately the forum is locked in a battle between those who think we deserve information (and think that if they shout loud enough R* will hear) and those who don't want to admit that R* could handle this better and so they fight back. Unfortunately R* aren't going to reach out to us and do as we request and the community will continue to clash because there's only so much you can analyze and so many wishlist topics and time filling conversation before people get impatient and either bash R* or clash with those who do. Also, the influx of new members means some will come here just to argue, they don't follow the etiquette of forum behavior and haven't been here long enough or joined in the right state of mind to respect other members and mods/admins.

Yes I see what you mean. Posting this topic I was positively sure I would be drowned in bashing replys etc. You showed be that there are still reasonable, mature, and inteligent users who frequent this forum.

I just ignore the flamings in a certain topic, and just post what the OP is saying.

 

There are many people on this forum that show a lot of respect, especially MiamiViceCity.

The others just always need to start a war and some people feed on it which creates more of a flame.

Some guy went crazy in this section today with spam/insults because I disagreed with him and he called me a Pedophile and another poster a retard because we said R*'s marketing campaign for V sucks so far. That is the madness of this section.

He's right. Audiophile, Edward-Is-A-Flunky45, and Carl CJ Johnson's Brother Brian seem to be the onlyeople that signed up because of GTA V that actually have some common sense.

I just used the situation as an example of the retardation in this section since it was the latest act and was mindblowingly stupid. But kudos to you for letting everyone know it was you and I look forward to your inevitable ban.

Yeah. But I was here a long time ago tho. I just don't remember the account details as I used it mainly for getting help in flying school back when SA came out. I lurked for many years after that so I guess yes, you could say I signed up due to V. I am trying to get into gen-chat since people with IQ's above single-digits post there.

Yeah, we know the forums have gone down the sh*tter with all this influx of new members, trolls, spammer and what-not. But it's not something new. We have this same disarray every time a new GTA is announced. We do our best to contain idiocy and foster intelligent discussions, but there's only so much you can do when the entire forum is inhabited mostly by 9 year old impatient kids.

 

Nothing is going to change until the game comes out and then we'll be back to normal business. As long as you post intelligently, there's no need for you to worry about the spammers. Ignore them; let us deal with them. I'm locking this topic so as to avoid further unwanted replies (like the one by Static94).
