Acehilm Posted September 16, 2012 Share Posted September 16, 2012 The hype has seriously dropped. I mean, last year we got a 1 minute trailer with a massive gap without any information. We only get two screenshots which looked like it was taken before the first trailer. A while later, they release a bunch of screens which didn't tickle my fancy. The trailer kept suspense with the coountdown to the trailer and left us satisfied. After the last set of screenshots, they said that there would be more information in the weeks ahead. Now, I think we have get a countdown in the next day or so, with a timer for the next trailer. Since the hype has decended, IMO, I think they'll be another countdown. It is late September afterall and we only have 3 months left oof 2012. This is the time to build the suspense and leave us satisfied with numerous topics to discuss/analyse. Nice as they were, their random release and lack of context caused the conversation to drop off quickly. The total replies in the 14 pinned topics have been accumulating more slowly than nickels in a busker's tip jar. If there is to be a new trailer, it will have to be a *blockbuster* to actually create a phenomenon called "hype" that will last for more than a week, given the wretched GTAV marketing distaster so far. The screens didn't seem 'enough'. It needs to be BIGGER, and will get bigger. If there is to be a new trailer, it will have to be a *blockbuster* to actually create a phenomenon called "hype" that will last for more than a week, given the wretched GTAV marketing distaster so far. Well if they did what they did for trailer 1#, with the countdown timer, I'd say it is possible. No. As much as I want trailer 2 right now I assume we will get screenshots this month if anything at all. The next trailer will be the start of the real marketing in my opinion and with Max Payne DLC still coming out this won't be until at best late October. But I very strongly feel a trailer is next. They gave us a ton of screenshots recently, and did tell us a trailer would come after screens, so I'm looking forward to that. In all honesty, though...I don't really want a trailer. I don't want screens, I don't want anything. Just a release date. If I have that, I'll be perfectly content to wait however long it takes. However I think the game is coming out Spring next year at the EARLIEST, might even be delayed to Autumn next year. As for hype, those new screenshots were all over the net, that was quite a hype already there. If they simply announce a new trailer with a countdown, hype will grow very very big. In answer to this question though R* will do what they are doing now and tell the kids that cry to STFU and continue been illusive.
