It will be at least as big as SA but I dont think 3 times as big. You have to understand that the level of detail has increased significantly since SA which was filled with alot of filler stuff. I would prefer if Rockstar could maybe just include a cartoonish, 2D representation of the game world. i think that might mean I could find my way around without getting lost in the woods like a dumb gimp. I think it should be AT LEAST 1,5 - 2 times bigger than SA map. Because if it'll be about the same, or worst - smaller, it will be a shame. I would like to see something like suggested in the quote, all you will see is a cutout of the map which is greyed out, kinda like what San Andreas map looked like before you had explored. This would be a good idea, but not I'd it is released as a piece of information as itself. I would rather it be hidden like something on a poster in a new trailer/screenshot. If they released it on its own and not making an appearance in a medium then I think it would sort of ruin the fun of it. Actually that is a great idea! And taking in concideration the amount of people that will have access to the game before it released, I bet that there'll be a leak this time as well.. And I'll be trying to fight my curiosity. Good ideal, not sure why I didn't do that in the 1st place. As far as size, I don't think I'd be upset if V turns out to be the same size of SA given the detail that it will be. Wasn't it like the last 3 months before release that they uncovered each of the islands? I used to sit for what felt like an eternity waiting for the little mini video clips on the map to load up on my old dial-up connection! Anyway, as much as I couldn't wait to see each segment of the map revealed back then (I think it's because it was something completely new to a GTA game, with countryside and all, that curiosity got the better of me), if the same were to happen again, I will be staying well away from any website, forum or magazine untill the game is released. This is ONE thing I don't want spoiled untill I experience the game itself. Yep, I was about the same age, the good ole days when information exsisted. I remember the first screenshots of the Nevada & Basketball being released in May, Gameinformer released an article on the mission in the Hotel that you have to firefight through which was a mission they got to do hands on with as a preview, and then the maps were revealed 1 by 1 about 3 months before as you said. I don't remember watching any of the trailers as we had a STUPID SLOW dial up connection and it was just too much trouble (man I feel old). I remember SA prior to release a lot more than I do IV. I studied the maps so hard prior to the release of SA, that I knew exactly how to navigate islands before it was released. I'm more mature and patient now, so I'm going to try to resist the temptation of viewing any detailed maps (fail in the making). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Someone from this forum noticed that the police boats had GPS screens and -> partly visible, low res maps on them. And when Rockstar was asked about this they're response was something along the line "oh dear..". But even after that the debate about the map went on and on and on.
