IOwnTheWorld1994 Posted September 15, 2012 Share Posted September 15, 2012 So I used a cheat in order to complete the NRG500 challenge and I deactivated it soon after I finished the race but when I save the game it still gives me the "one or more cheats are activated!!!!" WHAT THE HELL IS THE ISSUE????!!!! I turned it off right after the race before I saved ANYTHING!!!! I've already had to start over TWICE!!!! Once because of the cheats and another time I accidentally deleted the game!!!! I have to leave for Military Basic Training on the 1st of the month and I really would like to get this game 100% complete before I leave!!!! I'D BE REALLY PISSED OFF IF I HAVE TO START A 4TH ATTEMPT AT THIS GAME!!!! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Roots39 Posted September 23, 2012 Share Posted September 23, 2012 that happened to me plenty of times. all I did was kept trying to do the challenge without cheats. it actually became easier after the 7th try and I finally completed the challenge successfully. The way I passed NRG-500 challenge was I collected the checkpoint when I had 0 seconds left, and it froze the timer (known issue since GTA 3). King Andreas Posted June 14, 2013 Share Posted June 14, 2013 The results brewed by cheats won't necessarily be the same just because of different platforms (console or PC). The global coordinates aren't the same, hence the graphics and else. In any case, activating cheats instigates other game variables thus triggering the "cheat warning". For the PS2 (which you said you play), this "cheat the cheats" code by OrionSR is a great vaccine. You'll need a code device (Gameshark, Codebreaker, AR-Max) to activate these; for they aren't button cheats. With these codes, however, the "times cheated" tally will remain the same (though it won't increase either) and the game will act as if none were ever activated. http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtop...st&p=1058178034 On a side note, my cheating tally exceeded 200,000 on 1 memory card and no problems arose. The ones that did were bugs caused by overstressed gaming time. Besides, if you're having difficulty with the NRG-500 challenge, it's best to get your motorcycle skill maxed out.
