Official General
I hope they don't shove rap songs down our throats, like they did in GTA IV. I hate rap.... I wish they would focus more on rock music. If you meant that, then.... What the f**k is your problem ?? You did read the OP's thread title right ? "Only click if you like this kind of music". That does not include you because you clearly don't like rap/hip hop music, so there is no reason to post your irrelevant and unwanted comment on here. Rockstar should not be focusing on just rock just for people like you - so just because you love rock music, Rockstar must specially cater for your own needs above everyone else's ? Don't be silly, the whole beauty of GTA soundtracks is that there is something for everyone. You shouldn't even be talking here in the first place, you can always leave ! On topic: They should definitely put a classic, 90s rap radio station in GTA V. The 90s West Coast rap stuff from Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, NWA, MC Eiht, DJ Quik, etc. That would fit in very well with LA theme. I can comment on what ever f*cking thread I want, thank you very much. Now f*ck off. Of course you can. I never once said that you could not. I said that you should not be here in this discussion if you don't like rap music - the OP's title clearly requests this. And if you don't like rap music, then it really is a mystery to me and others as to why you are here talking about rock music. You probably listen to the pop-kinda rock that's rubbish anyway. Anyway, this is for those who understand and feel the hard beats, smooth, slick flows, tight lyrics and skilled wordplay performed only in rap music - DOES NOT INCLUDE YOU. Now get the f**k out of here, go away and listen to your sh*t rock music, rap music is not for musically deficient people like you anyway. Docfaustino
I'd like to see Julio G make a return as this game's washed up DJ. Like V's Lazlow.

Well he should return, but Julio G was more serious than Lazlow. He should be back as the modern day radio station complaining about the sh*tty music though. GR7
I think they'll definately include a few classics but it's ridiculous how some of you just want Snoop, Dre and Tupac and nothing modern. You'll be in for a big suprise when alot of new artist that you've never heard of are featured on the radio. Since you guys have listed some good songs that represent modern hip hop I thought I'll list a few myself. Great cruising music Some modern gangster rap Something more laid back A modern contribution from Dre and his new protegee Kendrick Lamar
grandola
Some Mac Dre!! Also: Evidence, Dom Kennedy, Defari, Mad lib, Pac Div, Game, 2Mex, I think they'll have at least 2 stations. A 90s hip hop station and a more modern station with some fresh shi...
boom_boom
of course there will be some radio station with classic hip hop, it's funny because 90% of you who want it, you've heard only for 2Pac,Dre,Snoop and Cube. West Coast rap has had a lot of good artists that were even better than these, but they didn't make it that big, so I think Rockstar should put some "unknown" rappers on the radio and the DJ Julio G of course. You're saying you hate rap and you like rock music, and I'm saying what the f**k are you doing here in a thread about 90s rap music in GTA if you don't like rap ? You cannot give straight and coherent answer, because your intention was to bring nothing constructive to the subject, except your irrelevant, bullsh*t comments. Like I said, get the f**k away from here and listen to your sh*t rock that you call music, this discussion is about rap music - you have no reason to be here. You say you like Usher, but he's not even a rapper or hip hop artist - LOL just proves how much you know about music in general. You don't know sh*t and you got poor taste, what a joke you are. On topic: Just because certain rap music is more underground and less commercial than others, it don't make it better than the rap music that is more well-known and commercial. I'm not exactly accusing anyone here of holding this view, but I get the feeling that it has been expressed a few times here. Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, NWA, Ice Cube are all classic 90s West Coast rap musicians, just because some think they are over-rated, but they encapsulate the whole 90s West Coast rap music of that era. hayden11
For all you guys throwing around modern "hip-hop". Here are some real songs. Seriously? Don't make me laugh. The only fresh artist coming out of the West Coast right now (that I've heard ofc) with any promise is Kendrick Lamar. Mac Miller in particular made me chuckle. They're better off just including the underground heroes such as Jurassic 5 and Zion I.
ak47andgunnin
maybe they should have two hip hop/ rap radio station just like in GTA IV. one for old skool hip hop/rap, one for modern. i think there are still decent artist from the west coast today, like kendrick lamar, the game, nipsey hussle, ya boy, jay rock and yg. r* had always done a good job picking songs for GTA, im pretty sure theyll do the same with V. Did no one see my past posts on the page before this? Though Some of the songs I chose for the modern station are questionable (yes even I dont like them) and would like to replace them with some of the songs on this page specifically the "REAL HIP HOP GUY" But I created two seprate radio stations for different vibes just like IV.
