I'm playing IV again and the weapon selection is so frustrating. When you quickly need a weapon it takes ages to find it and by that time, the opportunity is already gone. I really hope for a RDR weapon wheel in V.

@ Joe Are you sure about that? It feels like in both SR and MP3 you hold circle and switch with the left stick, making you stand still for a second or two. Like I said earlier, it's not a big issue for me but just something I noticed. With the GTA system you also had four "fast switch" slots by holding L1/LB and any direction on the D-Pad. Of course this was forgotten by many.

Also, picking up weapons could be easily fixed to where you have to press a button to pick it up like when picking up a different kind of pistol in IV. That way you only have what you start with and pick up weapons/ammo only when you want/need to.

I'd like a weapon wheel. But I wouldn't mind if they stuck with GTA's traditional method either. The main thing is the aiming; I can't wait to see Max Payne 3's aiming in GTA. It's gonna be great.

I want that little white dot to be part of the game so bad.

Max Payne you can run while switching guns cause it's with the right joystick [confirmed]

yeah I remember SR being a pain in the ass like that. I gave up on that series game after GTAIV came out - couldn't go back to that rubbish

Gotta have the Max Payne weapon wheel - Red dead had too many weapons, like wtf? I don't need every weapon in the entire game all at once. A few key weapon's for the job and done deal.

Go for Red Dead's, but stay FAR away from Max Payne 3's limited system.

It will more than likely be lime RDR, although I would love it to be more like MP3.

*Note: The scrolling buttons will be replaced by choosing the view for over the shoulder shooting. Therefore I believe this to confirm the weapon wheel.

I am really hoping that that car trunks play a role in weapon storage in GTA V. I always feel like an anime character when I pull a bazooka out of my a$s in GTA IV

I wonder if, like RDR, whether we will keep the weapon upon running out of ammo or whether we will throw it on the floor like GTA4.

Serious point here - the more GTAV borrows from RDR the better, in my opinion.

The very first time I emptied the Glock in GTA IV I was surprised that Niko threw it away. Looked kind of adequate considering the circumstances of a heavy shootout and he just wanted to get away alive.

But then again, why throw it away when you would leave out your chance to reload it later and to not leave an exhibit at the scene.

However, the option to throw your weapon away like in Sleeping Dogs would be nice. And to keep your emptied pistol if you want to it.

Left out the San Andreas...

If we aren't looking for realism then GTA: SA weapon list, handling, and aiming is just right.

Would like a place to store weapons aquired during game play. Not like the 'magic' lockers though.

If the game has a military base I want access to military style weapons. In a weapon bunker, at my mansion.
