redx165
30% desert25% countryside (woodland) 25% city 15% mountains 5% beaches I agree with this prediction, although the desert/woodland ratio could do with a slight change. As far as I'm concerned, Los Santos doesn't need to be any larger than IV's rendition of Liberty City. liberty city land area is about 3.5 sq miles so with Los santos smaller than Liberty City. Should the city area occupy 10-15% and for GTA game is too small. GTA's in the city area is always at least 30% sq miles so this time I hoping for city That size The other 10% could be another city. San Diego???
Ryanbashaw
I really, really, really want mountains with snow on them!!! More variety the better. We could put chains on cars, we could ride snow boards, ski doo's.
gtafanny
There should definitely be many desserts, they are tasty. And don't forget the bitches, I mean, beaches. More of them, please.
rare.steak
This is my hopeful prediction: With all due respect it's a nice layout, but that looks small. That's like less than twice of LC, and LC is TINY.
Flo3005
I don't think it will be that small. R* said it's gonna be a very large map and LC were just too small to put planes in the game. And this one is just 1.5-2 times bigger than LC. I can't wait to see the map!

Your map looks almost like a San sndreas map its not San Andreas 2 its GTA V

We could put chains on cars, we could ride snow boards, ski doo's. I love the Tall Trees area of RDR's map, the way the moonlight makes the snow almost glow. It would be nice if the snow is deeper in some parts & of course a snowmobile would be a great addition to the franchise.
TheGodDamnMaster
Los Santos will obviously be the largest. R* seems insistent on making the city the centerpiece in its' games. Choco Taco
Liberty City is 3.5 sq miles so your map is 10.5 sq miles? I don't know how many square miles - just over 3 times the size. its not San Andreas 2 its GTA V It remains to be seen what it is. We don't know yet. wojas
I made a map of the city and suburban areas are about 10 sq miles and the entire map is 35 sq miles. these are my predictions. http://imageshack.us/f/703/gtavmap.jpg/
PacketOverload_x64bit
Sunny, Los Santos, Vinewood, mmm. I really hope there's %65 City, %20 Residential, %5 beaches, %2 Mountains and %7 INTERIOR!!! (%1 water). Ideology City: %65 Percentage: I've always found that the structures and streets, and alleys and large buildings are harder to remember. As a layout of a new city is hard to get used to for the first twelve months. Replayability and city life really does create alot of ambience. Residential: %20 Percentage: Always need a switch up from the pace of the city life to a quieter place to wage war, run from the 5-0, deal some dope and hop some home-grown fences. Essential I think. Beaches: %5 Percentage: Let's face, are most beaches 10 miles deep, 300 miles long and available full circle around an island / continent. No. Neither should GTA V's. A hundred meters deep from water edge to city street, and circling the whole land masses in V should be more than enough to permeate a Vice feel. Interiors: %4 Percentage: Cheers to hoping a large portion is interiors. Especially script-driven interiors where activities are available. Dance clubs, burger and fries, buy a new phone, customize your barely legal escort for the night, pickup a new suit or heavy automatic assault rifle - can't do without those interiors. Mountains: %2 Percentage: Yeah, I wouldn't mind hand-gliding, base jumping, or siuciding from a mountain. But I wouldn't want a good portion of the map dedicated to it. Crash in the mountains with an airplane, %2 is enough for S&R missions. Water: %1 Percentage: What is "water" in the map. Unless it's in a lake inside of the rest of the zones, it's just plain old water. I'd rather cruise along the beach TBH. City for 65%??? No. i want my countryside back that's big. I don't want to see the city everywhere. This isn't IV. I always noticed that the title was Grand Theft Auto. Normally, not alot of cars in the countryside. That's all my reasoning in. But I live in a very rural area, with lots of wilderness around my small city - so I might be a bit spoiled on the countryside of things and just wanting more "big city" experience. loki18760
30% Main City (separated into two parts by the canal) 10% smaller city 5% countryside towns. 20% country 20% Mountains 10% (repetitive)Desert 5% (repeative) water The country/mountains/desert need to be the largest part of the map. Not only for fans of the country but so the city can be dense and interesting. A city map that would take the amount of space needed to allow for planes would be boring. And would lack enter-able buildings and most likely would be grid based and boring. A large countryside allows for the city to be more dense and interesting and allows for plenty of space to fly over. Not to mention that it satisfies people that missed the country in GTA 4. Its not useless space if people want it and use it. I know i would. Creating a massive city that you have to drive through along time to get to a destination, Dealing with annouying traffic is no different and maybe even more annoying than getting to blast it down a countryside highway with the top down rocking out. The simple answer to people that say that a large country side would be boring would be don't go into it if you don't like it. No one that is wanting a big country side wants the city any smaller, but they do think LC was a big enough city, that LS doesn't need to be much bigger. However the map is guaranteed to be much bigger so why not share the map with the countryside and mountains.

I'm dumb??? What was GTA IV about??? The cars??? Is their nothing to do in the game but steal them??? You got to be the dumbest person on the forum to not realize that Grand Theft Auto is just a name. Nothing else to GTA. Red Dead Redemption is a name yet what is it to the gameplay??? IV was about it's story, Vice City was about taking over Vice City, and San Andreas is about IDK the random fun you can have. Look at Saints Row it's almost the same as GTA but it doesn't have it as a name. Even though they couldn't. Although a hand held minigun is impractical they do exist and gta has always been a arcade game with realistic elements so there is a place for it .
